If Nat and Bucky have no ranged attacks, and Quake can project shockwaves that can smash buildings, how do they get near her ?

The only way I see Nat and Bucky winning is by surprise attack - and with DD 's super senses, that seems very unlikely.

I suppose if Quake is stupid enough to get into hand to hand with either Nat or Bucky she's in big trouble. But if she relies on her ranged powers she seems to have an overwhelming advantage.


Can't see DD beating Bucky, he'd give it a good shot but eventually Bucky's too tough and strong.

Oh she is. And once either Bucky or Nat get a hold to her, they may not give her a second chance. Plus she normally just doesn't attack without asking a dozen stupid questions. I can see her EASILY being taken down by Nat or Bucky.

The other team has no real way of putting down a super soldier with a vibranium arm. And judging by what I've heard about Quake, she wouldn't be smart enough to go after him immediately.

Personally I can see this fight going either way but I vote Quake and Daredevil 6/10.

Everyone here is a highly skilled hand to hand fighter (in pure skill, I'd say Widow = Daredevil > Bucky > Quake), Bucky has superhuman strength and durability but that's balanced out by Quake's powers/range.

I suppose if Quake is stupid enough to get into hand to hand with either Nat or Bucky she's in big trouble. But if she relies on her ranged powers she seems to have an overwhelming advantage.

Quake does tend to charge in and use a combination of hand to hand and her powers:

but she will get ruthless/use ranged attacks when she realises she's out of her league in close quarters (and if she can KO/cripple/kill Kree then she could take out a super soldier):

Guns would be the leveler, Black Widow is an amazing shot, so give her a gun and Quake's powers may not come into play. Winter Soldier is more of a sniper, although he's a pretty good shot too.

I thought a hand to hand fight would be more interesting. I'm not sure guns would make as much difference as you think though.....

Glad to hear that. Just heard about a week ago that one of my long time friends I've known since my dorm days at UC Santa Cruz caught this. He has had a low grade fever, but no cough, headaches, or breathing problems and nothing has gotten worse so hopefully that's a positive sign. He's an attorney for the state and caught it because he was shuttling back between SF and SoCal for some case.

@flickchick85 is a virtual encyclopedia when it comes to cool things to watch. She'll start by telling you to watch something by Bryan Fuller. LOL.

He has had a low grade fever, but no cough, headaches, or breathing problems and nothing has gotten worse so hopefully that's a positive sign. I vote Quake and Daredevil.

I disagree Quake would just rush headlong and get instantly knocked out. And her powers are unquestionably enough to put down Winter Soldier.

Widow and Bucky together might be able to overwhelm her and stop her from using her powers, but not with Daredevil predicting their moves and playing spoiler and since they don't get weapons, there's no path to victory left for them here.

Well this fills in some of the blanks for me. Cheers @Stormborn .

I still maintain guns are a leveller - can Quake deflect bullets ? While she could take out Widow's and Bucky's guns, that assumes she gets a first strike before Widow ( who is probably one of the best pistol shooters in the MCU) shoots her in the head.

Without guns Quake's power seems to be a decisive advantage - given that Daredevil's senses can negate almost any chance of surprise.

Give Widow her tasers and this is a much more even fight.

Hope @Docker2.0 is feeling a bit better.

Fighting grounds 1: Far from Wakanda, and their supply of vibranium is the load of two garbage trucks.
Fighting grounds 2: In Wakanda, and the supply of vibranium they are allowed to use is four times the size of the first battle. No animals help them this time.
Fighting grounds 3: Same as 2, with restriction on animals removed..

Maneuverability should not be taken for granted. Tony managed to evade and jump between suits that were flying around between cunning jumpers with hands that can burn through stern armor.

By feats Iron Man suits are actually way more impressive than Wakandan tech.

Durability:

• Killmonger has a vibranium weave Black Panther suit (tough but apparently vulnerable to grenades and rhino charges) but he's the only one. His army have some vibranium weave clothing but are far more exposed (e.g. no helmets).
• Iron Man suits have superior durability feats like shrugging off gunfire, tank shells, mid air collisions with fighter jets, hits from Thor etc. They were weak to extreme heat from Extremis soldiers but that's not really relevant here.

Strength/Firepower:

• Killmonger has low level superhuman strength and vibranium claws. His army is mostly human melee fighters, although a few have vibranium spears that can shoot down gunships.
• The Iron Man suits have missiles that can destroy tanks, lasers that can cut through heavy armour, guns that can fire a dozen bullets at once all targeted at weak points etc plus if they end up in close quarters their strength advantage is huge.

Mobility:

• Killmonger's army was mostly infantry and rhinos plus a couple of (featless) gunships.
• Every Iron Man suit can fly, some with speeds comparable to fighter jets.

Tactics:

• We saw in Black Panther and Infinity War that Wakandan armies just tend to charge in and engage in hand to hand. It probably wasn't the writer's intention but they seem inferior to modern western militaries.
• We saw in Iron Man 3 that when Jarvis controls the suits, he exploits flight and ranged attacks to take on enemies that favour melee.
