MCU vs thread....controversy and chaos

Good match up. Ordinarily I'd back Bucky against anyone.

It's unclear how much the non cybernetic parts of Cable are, although he seems to be very tough

Bucky is superhuman, besides his cyborg arm.

Cable has a force field which could defeat Bucky's guns and grenades, and a weapon which could probably injure Bucky if he lands a square hit.

I'll say this:

If it's just hand to hand or melee weapons then Bucky 8/10.

If both have their usual arsenal then I'll go with Cable, 6/10 for having a stronger defence as well as a powerful offense.

I'm not 100% on this, so interested to hear what others think.

For the present we'll say Cable 6/10.

Bucky vs Cable:

Hmm. They both have their strengths. Bucky has greater physical power and probably greater skill; Cable has a more powerful weapon and telekinesis tricks.

I think I lean to Bucky taking it about 7/10, since ultimately super soldier stats are a pretty big advantage, but Cable certainly takes his share. A lot would depend on the environment- long distance and open field would favor Cable, while any kind of cover or concealment that facilitates closing to melee would favor Bucky.

Bucky wins! Next up:

The Falcon Sam Wilson(not Captain America)

Who you got peeps?

Totally depends on the environment.

In a hallway, Daredevil probably 7/10.

Anywhere with enough space for Sam to fly......I think the combination of mobility and gadgets built into Sam's suit is too much for Matt. Falcon 9/10.

So we'll say Falcon.

Sam-Cap vs Daredevil:

Honestly, if he has his full gear, Sam probably wins most of the time in a tight hallway, too. A tight space means if Sam opens his wings and switches them to "big shield in front of me" mode, there's no room for Matt to avoid just being bull rushed. Anything more open than that, and its Matt vs someone who he would have to actually take seriously in a melee fight, only they don't actually need to ever come into melee range anyway. The only scenario Matt wins is if Sam is dropped into the arena with *only* the shield, none of the rest of his gear.

( Note that trying to leverage ninja stealth is also probably a losing move, due to the various sensors Sam has in his rig. )

Would you concede that in no weapons hand to hand, and no gear ( so neither of them have their costumes or any gadgets) Matt wins ?

Sam's only pure hand to hand feat is surviving against Brock Rumlow, although he was clearly losing that fight.

In comparison Cap whupped Rumlow pretty quickly and 10 other guys, in an elevator Rumlow had a taste stick and for part of that fight Cap literally had to use only one hand.
I know that's not relevant, at all, but it reminds me of the difference between Steve and Sam.

Iron Man pretty easily. I'm not even sure about the raw power aspect, but that hammer is pretty nasty. Ronan isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer and if he can't beat Star Lord, Tony's gonna serve him up.

I'm assuming Ronan has the power stone, as per the gif.

Yeah, this is another one of those "Yes, Ronan, your powerful, but your also an idiot" fights. While Ronan could certainly overwhelm Tony with Power Stone might eventually, Tony is going to yoink the Stone well before that point.

Iron Man 8/10.

Cap would be able to talk adult Groot into a non-violent resolution. Moody teen Groot, less so.

Gamorra has a sword that can cut giant monsters in half ( backed up by high probability of being Thanos-tech ), and has physicality that is a match for Cap on the *bottom* end of its plausible range.

Cap vs Groot? Groot takes it, Cap just isn't going to be able to do much/any damage. Groot is too bricky.
