Marvel Films MCU X-Men - Part 4

BTW, I was watching Deadpool 2 again on HBO last night, and it solidified something for me; behemoth characters like Juggernaut, Mojo, Apocalypse and the lot of them should remain CGI with a voice actor.

I’m sure with Disney at the helm those types will look comic accurate.
Except that Juggy looked like trash in DP 2. The CGI was VERY dodgy.

I thought he was a highlight! I wish they could’ve put him in his classic brown costume, but he was a helluva lot better than this abomination:

Yeah, @Shinobi Shaw I respectfully disagree. Deadpool 2 Juggernaut looked like a Playstation 2 character. It will age badly in short time. Marvel just has Fox beat on the CGI character department.

I always liked Colin Salmon who played Ronson in the Brosnan Bond Movies for Xavier, but he might be too low-profile for Marvel now. He has the look, the presence and the voice for the part.

I think there are plenty of other fish in the sea.

Because that's what his character calls for on Criminal Minds but there are episodes where he shows nuance. Shemar also plays Cyborg in the DC animated movies and he gives an emotional performance every time

Either way, Charles can be cold and distanced. Shemar doesn't have to have a Meryl Streep level of emotional malleability, especially when he will be a supporting to the X-Men.
Is Shemar Moore as Xavier the hill you really want to die on?

He’s not even a good actor. I bet he’s one of the last people Feige has in mind for this or any role.

If an adventurer-type is an Xavier Feige wants to show in flashbacks, the MCU will just de-age (and buff up) the slightly older actor they have already cast like they’ve done with Douglas, Russell, Hopkins, etc.

Honestly I don't want Marvel to rush into X-men right away. I'd like to see a few other properties play out or become established first.

Having said that I would love to see them start seeding them as soon as the Eternals movie with mentions of Celestial tampering etc. That way they can really build up to something fresh. It also bodes well for preventing questions about where Black Panther or Bucky or Spider-man were as they could some what pre-date the X era of the MCU. Or we could even end up with Wolverine meeting a more established Spider-man if the partnership continues.

Shemar Moore?!? What's going on in here? Lol. I'm not against his look/aesthetic as Xavier, he's just a terrible actor.

What if it's a choice between Shemar Moore or Tommy Wisseau as Professor X? :p

Based on? What sort of educated guess would lead you to the conclusion that Feige would never look at Shemar Moore point blank? He has multiple accolades, hes been in the business for nearly 30 years. He's no DiCaprio or Denzel but he's certainly not a bad actor. And if we're operating under the assumption Charles Is getting a dramatic downsizing in focus then... Shemar works fine as a supporting character.

Uhhh to each their own. I think Shemar would be great personally. Boris too

I could also go for Jeffrey Wright but have him put on a LIITTLE bit of muscle for the role

I still say Ah-nold for Professor X. He has the muscle and is willing to shave his head. And in this more inclusive era, he can say "To me, my gurly men!" :o

Weren't you the same poster who's been telling the rest of us you know what Feige will do based on what he's done in the past? I've got a secret...most of us have the same super power.

Multiple accolades? From a TV soap and a Tyler Perry/Madea movie. Yup you've changed my mind.

Ten bucks says you wouldn't have fancasted Moore if he wasn't bald...

Based on the replies here, it looks like no one else likes that casting.

Charles Robinson.

Once upon a time ago James Spader wouldve made an interesting Xavier. Colin Salmon had been my pick for a long time too. As low profile as he may be I'd pick him a million times before shamar or boris.

Uhhh Aja Naomi King will be 39-40 by the time X-Men comes out. I'd prefer an actress in the mid to late 20s range for Ororo like Halle Bailey, Ryan Destiny or Hailey Kilgore will be when it comes time to cast these characters. Unless Storm will be much older than the other X-Men i.e X-Men: Evolution

The 5 year gap needs to be taken into account when speculating these roles and that's why I don't buy any casting rumors right now. Coogler just started writing Black Panther 2 last month
The actress they cast for Storm will be age appropriate to be a love interest/Wife for Boseman's T'Challa. Storm will not be a teenager in the MCU and will be akin to her men evolution counterpart.

They're not going to make Storm the X-men's babysitter lol

That's not what I said. My comment was in reference to her character being old enough and age appropriate to be T'Chadwick's love interest rather than being of high school age or thereabouts.

With rumours floating around that Aja Naomi King and Nicole Beharie are in the running to be cast as Storm, here's more potential candidates including the aforementioned:

That's why I have Shemar. Because it's a fresh take on Charles that's perfectly in line with the source material. Xavier is more than a mentor, especially to younger X-Men. I think it's time we've seen Charles have a more nuanced relationship with his students than just an all-knowing, all-noble grandfather figure to the X-Men. More Mr. Miyagi (Karate Kid) and less Uncle Ben

Shemar Moore isn't like Mr Miyagi though. He'd be more like Johnny Lawrence or even John Kreese from Cobra Kai.

I'm imagining Professor X telling his students "Show no mercy!" "Pain is for *****es!" "Sweep the leg!" :o

Can any of those act or are you posting them because they are beautiful women? Acting ability comes first, not comic resemblance. That means jack if they can't deliver lines.

Also, was it really necessary to post Goode with the bikini? Was that the only pic of hers out there?

Shemar can’t even emote, let alone act. I remember seeing some episode of Criminal Minds, all he does is that puppy dog face and that’s it. Besides he’d be wheeling around calling Storm and Jean “baby girl”.
:lmao:
