Marvel Films MCU X-Men - Part 4

As a huge Nightcrawler fan, I strongly disagree that Cummings wasn't really Kurt. The lighter side of him was present in the film, it just wasn't the main focus which could also describe lots of the comics stories. And he was in no way 'edge lord'. His main characteristics were devoutness, optimism, and a bit of naivete plus a clear sense of adventure and of course some pain from how he's been treated, which is exactly what Kurt should be.

On the subject of black Rogue and Gambit, I totally see these two in the roles:

Keke Palmer has that same big personality that Rogue has, she’s very witty and when she does her Southern accent it’s top notch. Also helps that she’s one of the most gorgeous actresses out there today in Hollywood.

Kendrick Sampson (for all my fellow HBO Insecure fans) has that intensity and charm to be Remy. Also helps that he’s from Houston (while not NOLA) so he also has that Southern edge.

But that’s just where my head is at.

They've both got good looks for alternative versions of Gambit and Rogue, and I think they could work well together.

Who is this Rouge some people use to talk about?

After two decades of watching her be sad, de-powered, and gloomy (in both live action and animated), it's time to bring back the Rogue we all know and love. She should be flying, being sassy, calling people 'sugah' and show some hidden pain about not being able to touch anyone. But still I want her vibrant personality.

And more than just about her powers, I really would love to see the whole soap opera unfold about her relationships with Mystique and Destiny. Mothers/Daughter drama is always fun.

Yes, let’s have it all! After all this time it will be great to get all these defining aspects of her on the big screen. I feel she will become a very popular character with the GA if they do all that.

It’s Red Rogue, like Red Hulk, the angry version of Rogue.

But it sounds like she's walking away from acting all together at the moment.
Otherwise she's got the feisty yet vulnerable vibe which would work for Rogue.

If they decided to young for Emma Frost, I think British actress Jessica Alexander, 22, of Get Even could pull off the bad/ shady girl role well.

And while we are on the subject of Rogue, I think her parents would be so well played if they got Sandra Bullock and Sarah Paulson. Either one could be Mystique and Destiny.

That'd be some much needed star power.

Sarah Paulson as Mystique is inspired.
The woman is a true Chameleon , and I would prefer they go with an actress her age for that part as opposed to a 20 something

She'd definitely be my first choice.
If they couldn't get her, than I'd go with Betty Gilpin of G.L.O.W.

6'9 Julius Bjornsson would make a truly imposing
Juggernaut.

I would like to see queer actresses playing Raven and Irene. And Paulson is an amazing choice.

I would like to see queer actresses playing Raven and Irene. And Paulson is an amazing choice.

I think Mystique would be a fantastic opportunity to cast an NB or genderqueer actor.

I still think nonbinary actor Indya Moore (Pose, Queen & Slim) would be an amazing Raven


And Sarah Paulson has been my longtime pick for Irene/Destiny.

Raven & Irene are ample opportunity to bring some strong LGBT rep not only to the X-Men, but to the MCU. I hope Marvel Studios pulls out all the stops when casting them, esp Raven.

Charlize Theron is also one of my big picks for either MCU Mystique or Emma Frost. She could work well in either role.

Big fan of aussie NB actor Liv Hewson too. Not necessarily as Mystique even, they're just great and I'd love to see them in the MCU mutantverse somewhere.

I love Charlize Theron, but I think before you cast Emma, you have to figure out what the age range of the rest of the X-Men is gonna look like

Becuz Charlize will be in her 50s by the time we even get to the first film, and that's assuming she's even introduced that early

I had never thought about it until it was brought up here but it makes total sense if the MCU wants to change his origins.

I have seen fancastings on here having Giancarlo Esposito as Magneto. As I have said before a Black Magneto could work if you make his origins Ethiopian. He could be born in Addis Ababa in the early 1960's growing up among the large Ethiopian Jewish population and he lived a peaceful life there for the first decade of his life and then his life got turned upside down in 1974 when the Derg seized power in a coup against Emperor Halie Selassie when a majority of his family was killed and he was the only survivor, eventually fleeing to a refugee camp in Kenya. It was at that camp that he discovered his mutant powers and became a pariah in that camp, which harbored his resentment towards humans.

A little on the nose for my taste. I am picturing a scene where Logan breaks out his old gear he used while working for Department H. Scott would be like, "What's the mask for?" Logan replies, "So the bad guys don't recognize my face, Bub."

That'd be funny, but the MCU has cared little about masks and secret identities. Wolverine isn't one to hide his claws either and he pops them out in public while not in costume frequently.
