I keep telling you guys, this is the team to go with, plus Ororo. There’s a reason why 90s Blue Team still has sold the most comics to date since 1991.

for what? for you to complain about the VFX, saying day after day that they look cheap, are boring and should have done a 2 hour movie for each one of them instead? :funny:
I'd rather sit through dodgy vfX on X-Men shows, than watch X-Men Origins (for Jean/Cyclops/Wolverine/Professor/Storm) one more time on team movies. But okay if you are willing to watch 3 more origin stories in a X-Men movie okay.

My X-Men 1 would be (if thereareno squads yet)

Psylocke
Angel
Gambit
Iceman
Rogue
Cyclops
Storm
Forge (I picked Forge over Cecilia, Sunfire and Jubilee because I want someone who's very techy on the team)
+ the Professor

Heroic X-Men team mutants:

Cyclops
Jean
Beast
Angel
Iceman

Outside the X team heroes:

Storm
Xavier

Realistically, I don't think we're gonna get a team comprised of just A-listers. They'll hold back on introducing some big characters in order to not run into the same problem they are currently having with Avengers i.e. Cap, Tony and Natasha are gone and Marvel doesn't have anyone big enough to fill that void.

There’s enough A listers that they’ll be forced to do that anyway. Even if the entire lineup is A listers (which there’s no need to do as it’s good to develop the up and comers at the same time to start building the future from the off), there will still be big characters on the bench to light up multiple sequels from scratch.

For me, replace Beast with Angel and Jean Grey with Iceman.

Iceman's last movie appearance was in 2014 vs Jean's 2019.
Angel's last movie appearance was in 2016 vs Beast's 2019.

Both Iceman and Angel also have appeared in less than 5 films.

Angel needs a better hook with his powers, something beyond just having wings. Unless they're just gonna turn him into Archangel right away like the cartoon did.

Yeah I've always thought that. It was different when he first came out but in 2022 how many superheroes have the ability of flight amongst other abilities?

So if the first team is what I posted then who would you put in the second one? I can think of Emma, Colossus, Magik, Kitty, Iceman, Angel, Jubilee & Nightcrawler. It's a solid team but doesn't really compare to the first one, does it?

Depends on who you like, for more than a few fans I'm sure that would be a dream lineup

It's not a bad idea, mix up the "A-listers" with the lesser known members, so they're never short on A-listers to feature... (I'd probably put Jubilee and Magik on the b-list as well (not saying they aren't great))... but delaying giving us those big characters might not go over well. People have been waiting years for most of those X-Men Blue characters to get a decent showing, so telling people "We're saving [insert A-lister] for the mutant's Phase 2" might annoy some

They can definitely save Wolverine, for one movie at least, and maybe Jean or Beast... but the rest of the "animated series" team is a must for a lot of fans

Oh I was talking about with one team. With 2 teams I would split that first team in half and combine it with half of your second list and do the same for the second team (Cyclops leading one and Storm the other). There’s more than enough A-listers for one team and a couple of sequels which is why most of us seem to want the second team with a mix of characters in both teams.

I believe that haha. I think if they're smart they're rotate some of the characters in and out to keep them in the movies longer.

Angel also has a healing factor I believe, and enhanced agility, hollow bones, and most importantly, a great story that the Fox films have never explored.

Again, this brings me back to good times when others would guest in the Avengers like The Thing from F4, or Wolverine. Daredevil I thought was there for a bit. :)

Angel is a tricky one because if you can pull him off you can build up Cameron hodge who would be such a great mcu villain. Like a real spine chilling iconic villain sure to be seen as one of marvels best

I know some people don't like the idea of "leads" in these films, but the reality is, that's how most ensemble films are structured, including the Avengers films.

Fox anchored the OT around Logan, and then Charles & Erik in the PT, specifically, because those are the characters who could carry the narrative; stories compelling enough to anchor a narrative around.

If it was up to me, the story of Scott & Jean (and Sinister by extension) would the narrative anchor of these new films, because the Summers family is a narrative goldmine that Fox never touched, and it could carry an entire trilogy.
