With all the talk of Scott being Indigenous/Alaskan Native, I've been thinking a lot about D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai ('Reservation Dogs') in the role

And I think he would knock it out of the park.

This is one of those things you may want to clarify on which comic accuracy you want. Because, uhhh, Moira's gone through a few changes.

First of all, you understand this is a limited time issue for their taxes, right? Two, why waste the time and money over killing contracts, when quite frankly, you don't need those characters right away. Because newsflash, Disney didn't buy Fox because of the IPs.
Obviously I'm talking about the original, geneticist version of Moira, before all of that HOX nonsense :funny:

Three, the report was baloney.

The goings-on at WB this week put into question the rumour started by that X-Men Fan twitter account and picked up by Devin Feracci. Really guys you really think the studio is powerless?
Im a bit lost, what x-men account posted what about Warner?

This WB drama just makes me appreciate Marvel Studios Feige all the more.

They aren't perfect to be sure, but they're a steady, reliable ship for the most part .

The recent WB head really makes me look forward to D23 and what stable plans Feige and Co have in store for us.

I'd prefer both do stronger things, to me.

I would too.
I'm DC Fan as well.
But I recognize the reality that Marvel Studios has there stuff together and a steady ship.

DC is in constant turmoil and flux.
They say that this time , they're gonna do it right.

That remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, I'm gonna look forward to the solid plans Marvel has going forward at D23.

Hmm. I feel like with mergers, cancelations are eXpected. FoX Marvel movies were canceled most likely to streamlined Marvel movies. The only shocking thing here is a film (which finished filming) is canceled.

DC movies need a clean slate. Between Joker, The Batman and DCEU films, their live action films as a whole has no direction. We don't know the direction of the Dceu and its future. The Batman by Matt Reeves is planned to be a trilogy and could end just as a trilogy and DC would do another reboot sometime after it. Joker PhoeniX is Joker without The Batman. I don't care if Joker and The Batman were well received, but I don't think having these non dceu films help the dceu films at all. Instead of encouraging the public to watch every DC film, they'd cherry pick the ones that truly interest them, thats we have boX office flops/disappointments like Birds of Prey, The Suicide Squad. And would people really show up for Blue Beetle? I doubt it. I wouldn't be surprised if Shazam 2 flopped.

If I were a filmmaker, there’s no way I could look at what happened with Batgirl and have any desire to work on a DC flick. I don’t think Marvel is worried at all. Especially considering they’ve been more filmmaker driven lately, which was WB’s supposed shtick anyway.

That’s what makes me nervous. After this, Warner Bros. is going to need a promising producer to help bring in top tier talent and to help usher in this “new era” at the studio that’s supposed to return it to prominence. Couple that with Zaslav’s 10 year DC plan, his supposed commitment to only producing high quality content, and looking to the Bob Iger/Alan Horn/Kevin Feige business model for all of this, why wouldn’t he go after Feige, especially now that Alan Horn is at Warner Bros. too?

Just don’t see why Feige would go. He’s been at Marvel a long time and has a good idea of how he’s going to be treated whereas things are so unpredictable and always changing at WB/WBD. Even for more money, why give up this gig which he loves where he knows it’s going to be fine vs somewhere it can’t be guaranteed. If DC had been run sensibly all this time and just never managed to break into superhero films that would be different.

Also Marvel for the most part stick very closely to their announced plans (not the dates necessarily but actually getting the films out they announce). Even if they aren’t all great, at least we can get excited when films are announced as they are going to arrive at some point. Pretty sad looking at the original DC slate which looked so good and seeing what happened.

Totally.
I don't think Feige's gonna get anywhere near the mess and drama over at WB.

Yeah, it is pretty sad when all is said and done.

That's why I'm looking forward to D23 and seeing what other surprises Feige and Marvel have in store.

Didn't David Zaslav recently say that he likes the new Flash movie? Given all the current accusations of Ezra Miller (Grooming minors and other disturbing stuff), I would be shocked if anybody would want to join that mess and be part of that.

The Flash can still be a good movie, but the issue with its star won't be going away. I mean, Marvel doesn't lack its own problematic stars who may be looking at their last movie coming up.

There will be a time when Feige leaves. Nobody in Hollywood would be happy keeping the same position forever. Whether its anytime soon or not is impossible to say but I don't see much cause to worry so far.

In any case, he's not leaving a sure thing to work for the most unreliable studio in the business. And I doubt he'd be interested in attempting to build up a new universe out of the ashes of a failed universe for the express purpose of trying to outcompete his own work and biggest claim to fame.

Hmm, I'd like to think Feige would stay until the final mcu film (before the reboot). Its been 29 mcu movies, he could stick for another more 30.

Ultimately, money talks. But I don’t see WBD outbidding Disney for Feige.

Plus I think WBD just needs to put in the work and find their own unicorn who has the hunger and vision but with less of the miles.

So 5 more years?

Look, if the relationship between him and Chapek sours, I have no idea where he would go. Frankly, I see Paramount most likely trying to snap him up. Maybe Amazon. I just don't see a situation where he would leave because of Chapek and then go to work under Zaslov. I think Paramount might be the best place for him.

Feige will stay on the MCU until X-Men 3.... then he will leave MS and will found FEIGE STUDIOS and will end conquering the world and the whole galaxy.

We aren't going to get 30 mcu movies in 5 years. Thats like 6 movies per year from 2023 to 2028. Its just not realistic.

Hmmm I think Wb needs to start from scratch with Dc films before hiring Feige. Like reboot everything else and start with a clean slate and new continuity.

I think we can safely say that Chris Claremont will not be involved in anyway with the Marvel Studios X-men, and likely will not be getting the Stan Lee appearance treatment....
