Here's a terrible theory:

OK...we know there is a Sentinel head in a warehouse. We know that Sentinels will be a part of the plot. We know a "robot" will be in the Danger Room.

What if:
1. The X-Men have the early designs for the Sentinels. This is what was shown to the president at the end of X2.

2. They practice in the Danger Room versus a generic robot that is based on the sentinel designs.

3. Sentinels are discussed during the movie.

4. No sentinels in the final battle.

5. As the movie ends we are taken inside of a top secret goverment factory. We see a sentinel head on an assembly line. Fade to black.


Is it possible this is what will happen, and more importantly that we won't even see a functional sentinel in the film?

Why is this theory terrible? Everything but the ending sounds feasible to me. Like Nell2ThaIzzay said, there will be no cliffhanger. I like this scenario. We know we get a "fastball special" in the Danger Room. What else is tall enough to be on the receiving end? I'd bet good money that this unfolds exactly like Son Of Logan's theory.

One question ... in the trailer we see the Brotherhood storm some facility that is being protected by the X-Men and the military. Could it be the base or developmental warehouse of the Sentinels?

just saw hugh jackman on leno and they showed the danger room clip. colossus does a fastball special and chucks wolverine at the two blinding white lights. couple of seconds later and a sentinel head falls from the sky with wolverine in it!

Yea I also knew from the beginning Wolvie was doing a fastball special at a sentinel in the DR and those purple beams in the DR have to be sentinel beams.
