 Yup, good to hear. I have no doubt you'll wanna continue it. There was even an episode where I was literally on my feet cheering for Dutch, that annoying nerdy but smart detective that always gets hell. The show gets intense, as intense as any movie can be.
I'm disappointed that they never went any further with
the Dutch strangling the cat scene,i thought he was gonna go over the edge

The Shield is awesome ,Ive watched every season(in the middle of the most recent now in the UK) and Vic is an amazing piece of wriitng,Shane i always feel is a prick and Lem is at heart a good guy,Ronny is along for the ride but Vic,man that guy is an enigma and a powerhouse of a character:up:

Oh man, HR.. You've got to finish season 5. Season 5 is, IMO, one of the best seasons of a any television show i've seen.

Season 6 is said to get even better.

so true, Shield season 5 is amazing

Why am I so late in watching this great tv shows:o Watched 24 when season 4 was out. Watched the Sopranos when season 4 was out. and now Shield when season 5 is out. :o

I laughed at the moment (in regards to NOFX's avatar). I'm always very late on TV shows, half of the good ones I don't even watch because I missed the pilot & opening episodes.

How can it not be with that wicked cliffhanger?

I still need to see it, especially since I am a Donner fan.

No, the film came out in March of '06. It came out on DVD pretty fast though, so maybe that's why it seems that way.

It's a great movie.

I saw it through NetFlix, and the DVD seemed worth a buy.

Yeah, I guess it came did come out really fast on DVD. But, March feels like a decade ago.....it's been a long year I guess.

Interesting.......I've kinda found myself digging these realistic, crime drama genre. Like THE WIRE, for example. So, I think I'll see if I can check out THE SHIELD.

I'm there with you.

I'm pretty damn stubborn, so I don't usually jump into a show after it's been on air for a while. But, some shows...like 24, Rescue Me.....I got into those afterwards.

Thanks:up:

We are near the end of season 5 on the Shield here,Forrest Whitaker owns and should have gotten an Emmy

Just seen the episode where his wife(with some fine DSL)faked her rape to get him back and then he finds out Vic and Lem were watching him and he explodes arresting Lem and putting him in the cage, that was some amazing acting, the amount of emotions he went through in that 5 minute spell was unreal

Just finished the first season of the Shield and WOW! What an explosive ending!!! I grew up in L.A. and man did that show made me scared to go back:( Im definetly picking up the 2nd season and so on....

I'd like to hear from someone who watches both The Shield and The Wire and see which they prefer and why.

U know what im going to put The Wire first season on my netflix list and tell you. I've heard good things about the show...This gritty series from David Simon has become one of cable network HBO's biggest success stories. Set in Baltimore, the plot revolves around a police investigation involving murder and drugs. Told from both the investigators' and the perpetrators' points of view, the series challenges viewers as it finds redeeming and not-so-redeeming qualities in each of its characters. Stars British actor Dominic West as detective Jimmy McNulty.

I've watched all three seasons of "The Wire". Very good show, all the characters are interesting and well written. Season 4 looks good from previews i've seen on HBO. Grab it if you have some extra cash. I think HBO is even showing season 1-3 before 4 starts. David Simon also made a six part series called "The Corner". I've only seen the first two eps. It was good from what i saw.

Ya know, I didn't even know West was british until I saw a recent interview.

I was ****ing shocked. He hides is very very well.

I love the show. It's really gritty, and realistic. I suggest you watch it from the very beginning, b/c the storylines are sort of complicated. There's a lot going on, and it's all really cool.

I checked out the new season premiere on HBO on Demand......****ing awesome.

I think I loved season 2, just on the amount of tail McNulty gets. I mean, seriously.....talk about pimping.

Just saw the movie.

I thought it was awesome. It wasn't BAD BOYS III, but that's a good thing.

I really really liked the movie. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5.

Just saw the movie again this weekend with my dad. We're both huge Michael Mann fans, and it was much much better the second time around.

9/10.

Yeah, whatcing the film....I think people forgot that it wasn't an action film. It's a crime drama.

I thought Farrell and Foxx did great jobs. And the supporting cast was great too. The guy who played Jose was awesome, I hated him throughout the entire movie.

And I actually liked the ending. I mean, Sonny loved her.....and he couldn't stay with her, so he did what he did to atleast compensate for that.

The ending was the best part. One guy gets his girl back, the other has to let go of his.

I really liked this film, yo. I'm def gettin the DVD. Anyone know when it comes out?
