Michael B Jordan IS Erik Killmonger!

Again, I am not sure how these numbers are arrived at but I do not think Keaton had that much less screen time in that movie. The guy simply does not explain much of the methodology there at least in my cursory glance through that thread. Its not some kind of official source.

It seems it's no coincidence that the more memorable villains typically had the longer times.

Loki had 21 minutes in the first Thor solo which is insane. Malekith only had 8 minutes, Ronan even less than that.

Yep. Its why Marvel villains for the most part are so meh. They serve the story, but never really give you anything that sticks with you. Vulture/Loki were different.

I liked Hela, but that was only because of Cate's performance.

Marvel better not have cut screen time for MBJ/Serkis/Duke just to keep some extra corny lines/scenes in the movie.

He first appeared on Person of Interest in Season 4, Episode 4. He made a total of 7 appearances during that season. Here's the episodes he's in: Ep. 4 "Brotherhood"; Ep. 6 "Pretenders"; Ep. 8 "Point of Origin"; Ep. 9 "The Devil You Know"; Ep. 16 "Blunt"; Ep. 21 "Asylum"; and Ep. 22 "YHWH."

Thanks. Was he a big part of those episodes?

I'm actually really surprised Duke's only 6'4".

Guy seemed enormous on Person Of Interest - not that 6'4"s exactly small, but yeah, he has a bigger presence than that. Beast of an actor too, hands-down the best "seasonal villain" of PoI (Greer's more an over-arching whole-show guy) for sure.

Thanks you guys. I'm gonna have to check it out when my winter semester ends.

Second that. If you want better villains, you should at least give them enough screen time for character development.
Reviews say that MBJ steals the show. Can't wait for the movie. Finally a great Marvel villain?

Seems that way.

It also appears that Andy Serkis was really good in this as well. I've seen some saying that M'Baku is a good antagonist as well.

Compared to the rest of the cast he probably was enormous. Most working actors seem to be just a couple inches taller than Tom Cruise, lol.

You're def right about that. Seems if you're a 5'9 actor you've got a good shot at roles, but if you're 6'3 or taller, you're gonna be quite limited in what you're given. I couldn't ever see Tom doing a film with say Vince Vaughn.

Only guy he didn't tower over was Caviezel, who's 6'2". Everyone else in that show is like 5'8" and below.

Glad to hear he's getting fantastic reviews. Some doubted him, but damn he has range.

so what's the backstory to Erik in this movie? why does he have such grudge against the throne?

If you want to know I would wait until the movie comes out. The one thing I like about Marvel Studios’ marketing, is they don’t spoil the whole movie in their trailers and TV spots.

So some reviews are saying Killmonger is the best Marvel villain to date because he has a good point.

The reviews mostly say that not only does Erik have believable and emotional reasons for what he does, but MBJ acts his dang face off. Which makes him so good here.

If I were the actor playing either of them, I’d be disappointed I spent all that time in make up and costume to get less screen time than an episode of Seinfeld.

Although how much screen time did Vader and Hannibal Lecter get in their first movies? Not much but they made the most of it.

Congrats to Michael B Jordan. His CBM redemption is complete

Yeah, a great performance by MBJ.

Killmonger is my top MCU villain so far.
