Now we see his overall theme in his roles.

I'm tempted to watch F4 again. But not sure if I can take the 90min cesspool.

Even though I was exhausted by his overacting - I do have an appreciation for guys who embrace the physical embodiment of their comic book counterparts.

That goes a long way in making a character believable. Jordan legitimately looked like a guy who could snap a neck or two, and have fun doing so.

Boseman in the recent Q&A at Apollo Theatre admitted that he is more related to Killmonger's position than T'Challa's because he experienced the same racial injustice growing up in S. Carolina as Killmonger did. He said T'Challa has to go through Killmonger to become more reliable.

While he is by far the most nuanced villain in an MCU film, I thought his death scene could have been handled better.

Dude is a really good actor. I saw him on The Wire, Friday Night Lights and Parenthood.

And that awful That Awkward Moment film. But he really has some range and charisma.

I keep forgetting he was on the Wire.

My issue had more with the delivery of his lines in the sunset scene. When he talks about being buried in the ocean, he didn't sound like someone who was mortally wounded.

You could kind of hear the shallow breathing.

What I think they were trying to convey was that he had a punctured lung, so he knew pulling the blade out would kill him immediately. However, he was stable enough to speak relatively normal if he didn't mess with it, hence T'Challa's "Maybe we can still save you..." before Killmonger's last words.

So it made sense to me at least that he kept some 'bass' in his voice, if you will, til the end.

You also have to take into account that he's juiced up on the heart shaped herb that probably kept him alive alot longer than a normal person.

Pity they killed off such a promising villain. He had potential for at least one more movie

Anyone think Linda, was in on Killmonger’s plan with Klaw? Killmonger did say drop “us” off in Wakanda. And Linda’s “I’m sorry Eric” implied she wasn’t quick enough getting in the plane.

Yeah, I wish Killmonger would be alive for the sequel too and become a reformed villain, but I think Coogler wants him to deliver that powerful line in the end, which couldn't happen if he let T'Challa heal him up. Coogler wants a memorable death even if that means his friend won't get to appear in the sequel.

How is Coogler going to make a film without Michael B Jordan?! He’ll have to at least sneak him in as an extra. :woot:

Draw out the fact that he's bleeding to death? I guess..

The words were appropriate and symbolic. True to the testament of how he felt about his people and for his own ideals and motivations. I felt his death was handled brilliantly. No truer words spoken.

Or it's a sign he won't be behind the camera in the sequel.

Much too early to say either way since the first one just came out 3 weeks ago, lol.

No argument here.

That's a fine Watsonian explanation. I was just thinking rule of drama.

The first true test of his career. Can he succeed without his boi? :sly:

I bet we see Killmonger again. Probably in the spiritual plane when T'challa communes with ancestral kings. Killmonger did become a king.

Well T'Challa didn't yield or die, so his reign wasn't lawful.

Though it might depend on the nature of the spiritual plane. Is it an actual spiritual plane or a trip. On the other hand, Erik did speak with his father.

Came in to say this. One doesn't have to be king to be on the spiritual plane, since T'chaka's brother was there. And if it is just a trip, Killmonger could definitely appear.

Really hope he’s back. But if not, he’s setup a great platform for whoever comes next.
