There is a stark difference from being positive (or negative!) to actually saying a movie will stink (or be amazing!) before you've seen a lick of footage.

If you guys dont like most of us not liking the movie. You can always block us. As whining about the negativity with this movie sure as hell wont change anything. As I said its both sides that are doing the same damn thing. Besides make you guys that whine silly. There is no difference with both sides besides the difference of opinion

Blocking you just negates possible future discussions. I don't see the point of blocking over disagreements over entertainment; I try to save blocks for those who attack posters on personal levels.

And you whining about us supposedly whining is just as whiny as the whining you're sick of hearing. :cwink:

This is my response to everyone who makes this and similar arguments:

Okay...maybe Sue's adopted. Maybe she's his stepsister. Or his half-sister. There are literally thousands of possible real-world explanations for multiracial siblings, and almost all of them could be conveyed in a throwaway line with no impact on the story flow. Unless the filmmakers somehow make it a focal point of the film, the only way it should be distracting is if you're intentionally focusing on it. That doesn't make you a racist, but it does make you oddly narrow-minded. Just ignore it and enjoy the rest of the movie (unless of course it sucks, but try anyway).

There. I'm done.

Good response.

Exactly. It's not even that most of us are being positive we just aren't being negative. I've seen no one make claims it'll be amazing at most the positivity has been that it isn't likely to be terrible and to wait for more to objectively judge

I followed both films (Apes and First Class) and it was pretty negative all around.

Funny really since both of those were great movies that elicited great sequels that improved in reception and box office

I was actually one of the people who thought those films (especially Apes) would be awful.

Sometimes a movie everyone thinks look like crap will be crap *coughtheamazingspider-man2imhocough* and other times they aren't.

There aren't many movies I think are going to be bad. I try to keep an open mind and what I think is trash might be somebody else's gold or vice versa.

I gave this casting a few months to sink in. I am still not ok with it.
Changing the race of a character can work sometimes. As it worked with Nick Fury.
I just feel it's an awful choice with the franchise already being on thin ice from our last few crappy movies. Now we have not just one but at least two characters who's origins have been tampered with and it's just irritating. I just want to see the Fantastic Four in their traditional glory. Slight alterations are acceptable but this is just a hot mess.

It has already been said that Sue and Johnny are siblings and that should be the end of discussion. I'm personally just happy there's one POC superhero more, since there really aren't any in leading roles. If Michael sucks in the role then obviously it's bad casting, but so far i'm fine with him in the role.

How did I miss this, that was epic.

Michael B. Jordan Talks Fantastic Four Reboot, Says He Wants to Direct

Michael B. Jordan is ready to take the world by storm — Johnny Storm, that is. The That Awkward Moment actor just wrapped filming on the 2015 reboot of The Fantastic Four, in which he costars alongside Miles Teller and Kate Mara as Johnny Storm, a.k.a. The Human Torch.

"It took a while to get it all together, but we are incredibly excited to see it happening," Jordan, 27, told Us Weekly of the Marvel superhero flick. "Johnny Storm is such an original character. It was amazing to be able to bring my own take to him. I think people are going to like what we did with it. It's a great cast."

Sounds good!

How did that "sound good"? We got as much as we usually do.

It's gonna be great...
People are gonna like what we did with it...
It's a great cast...

That's pretty much the speech from before they started filming.

It's gonna be great...
People will like what we do with it....
It's a great cast...

Because what he said sounds good. What do you want me to say that he said the same thing in his past interviews?

Haha thats what I thought when I read it.

Dang it, more of the same stuff, was hoping for something more substantial, a little more detail, something about the actual filming, something about the actual movie.

Oh, I don't know...:cwink:

When you get these talking greeting cards that say the same message every time you press a button, do you still say "sounds good" after the umpteenth time you've heard the same thing?

Geez. I said sounds good. Big deal. I guess I should just keep it to myself next time to avoid getting reactions.

No offense to Johnny Storm, but I never really found his character so original.

You haven't seen the film and neither have critics or most other people so calling it crap is just silly.

Yes it is silly if you're willing to ignore the complete lack of effort and devotion FOX has for this reboot compared to other projects squaring off in a highly competitive Summer.

Most people have seen and heard enough about this lame project to be wary. Why are people still using these tactics?

People don't need a sneak peak of the Opera to know it's not their thing. The same goes for me wanting to see MJB and the rest of the cast in this last minute, low budget, nameless reboot, thats been finished filming for like a month.

I really didn't mean for it to become such and uproar....:word: :cwink: lol

I thought the SAME exact thing when I read that....it was like he had taken on this diverse, intricate character and put his own spin on his character...:whatever:
