Fant4stic Michael B Jordan is "Flame On!" The Human Torch - Part 2

The details on the suit are fine. They'd ditch them and maybe get a more slick costume once they get used to their powers and once proven that its not a harmful to them.

Thankfully Sue didn't need any crazy costume gadgets for when her powers get out of control. Cuz her costume is the gadget. She turns invisible, they can still see her clothes. But what about her force fields? Maybe she should have an oxygen tank on her back in case she accidentally traps herself in a forcefield and runs out of air. As to that effect, they should all have oxygen tanks, in case Sue accidentally traps any or all of them in a forcefield which she can't make it stop. And she should have some kind of electric gizmo to zap herself into unconscousness, which will hopefully make all unwanted forcefields go away. Gritty realism!

Again, though... it's another case of 'we'll show you the REAL costumes in the sequel'.

Is there any reason in the world that by the end of THIS film that the uniforms actually reflect the ones from the comics that have been used for over 50 years?

It'll be like in the tv movies for Captain America and Doctor Strange, where the last half second of the movie they'll stand there posing for the camera in their fabulous shiny new comic-resembling costumes.

You mean kinda like Daredevil in the netflick series.

Apples vs. Oranges.

First off the black costume in Daredevil was actually based off a comic, the containment suits are not. Second doing a television show is more conducive to showing a progression like that.

This film, could have progressed like Spider-man or Iron Man where the final product was delivered by the 2nd half of the film.

So again this argument has been used numerous times to defend the film and shot down just about every time it's been brought up.

She is not getting an oxygen tank based from what we saw so far.

I bet those squares on her uniform are something to help her refract light evenly all over her body.

But why not? She could accidentally create a forcefield around herself when her disabilities go out of control, cutting off her oxygen, and not be able to breathe at all.

It would be realistic for her to wear an oxygen tank on her back with an oxygen mask on her face.

This oxygen tank idea sounds grounded... and gritty. Extremely gritty.

I like it.

Also, a utility belt full of bottles of aspirins in case her creating forcefields gives her migraines.

And yet if they actually give her an oxygen tank.. you would be the first few people here to complain about it.

And yet I was being facetious in pointing out the incredibly stupid and pointless need to be realistic in a movie about people with superpowers disabilities.

If the Invisible Girl doesn't need an oxygen tank in case she makes a forcefield that she can't get rid of, Mr. Fantastic and Human Torch don't need bungee cords and vents/dials.

Sue can makes things invisibile and I assume her force fields wont ruin her suit unlike the other two if they used their power without the vents and cords. Its just silly asking for an oxygen tank and yet if we got it.. as if you are not gonna complain.

Why would that matter?

She could accidentally create forcefields around her or anybody else and not know how to turn it off and suffocate herself or others alive.

Just like Johnny could burn himself or others alive.

Why do Johnny and Reed need regulator suits with purpose and Sue doesn't?

Jeeze. What a huge plothole.

I think that was the point: The idea of specialist 'containment suits' for any of them is pretty silly. Reed & Johnny clearly have them, and from the whole 'disabilities' angle they are running with Sue could have one too (a solid forcefield would limit her air supply air).

Because of how our eyes work they could also make her blind too when she turns invisible, as light wouldn't be focused through her eyes lenses or register on her retina's.

But that's all if you unnecessarily over think the concept instead of just getting on with it.

If Sue's not blind, this movie is not realistic! Such BS!

I really wish you people wouldn't say things like this because I think things like this could very well happen. :nrv:

I would be the first, that would be ridiculously stupid. Realism to a point is ok, but if they spend the first half of the movie explaining each and every thing they can do and trying to make it as "real" as possible, then it will end up being pretty stupid and boring.

I doubt they would spend a hour trying to figure out their power, its just gonna be one of my main things they will have to explore especially this is an origin movie and their powers are just new to them. but there will be the other things to explore after they gained their powers, like traveling and going back to the negative zone.

Maybe they checked her up and found out that her air supply is just fine and they decided not to give her an oxygen tank?

The bungee cords for Reed's suit are probably there so it wouldn't destroy the containment suit when he elongates his body parts. As for Johnny, the metallic vents are probably there not to completely burn his suit up.
