Microsoft E3 2009

Well, I didn't mean it like that, this doesn't sound like the Eye Toy or anything, I just hated the Eye Toy pretty irrationally when it first hit the scene. I remember seeing the internet videos and stuff like that and I pretty much hated it from the get go. Played some demo of it at Wal-Mart once and pretty much hated it.

I have a feeling this'll be about the same, hah

I was going to post that job listing...guess the "Xbox Fluid" is a go.

When i read back when the rumors stated that Microsft was going to buy 3DV, i tought that the technology would only see the light of day in the next gen...guess not, and, by the look of it, it will be announced next monday.

The Xbox Fluid? Is that what they're going to call it

It was the name in that infamous twitter, so, that´s what i´m calling it until officially announced

Didn't he say that the next GTAIV episode was going to be called Blood and A Four Leaf Clover or something? The twitter guy is full of ****. No one should pay attention to him.

Yeah, i know, but it´s better to call it something other than Full Body Motion thingy

Alan Wake might appear on E3

Brightfalls.net, an Alan Wake fan news site officially sanctioned (and hosted) by developer Remedy, has been out of commission for all of 2009. The site has just popped back up, leading one conspiracy-minded Alan Wake forum poster, "shorty," to conjecture that the site is back up in anticipation of some Alan Wake news. Specifically, "that Alan Wake will be shown at E3 on Monday!"
The theories of one guy on a forum may not be enough to base a rumor on, but the following post makes us think something really may be happening. Remedy staffer and forum administrator JoukoRMD responded to that post with "Well, maybe (brightfalls.net site lead) ADM has that feeling too, and thus brought back brightfalls.net," ending with a ;) emoticon. Does that wink signify some secret knowledge? We suppose we'll find out Monday.

Lionhead might have big announcement of Microsoft´s presser

Lionhead Studios posted an interesting tweet today, hinting at a potentially huge reveal to appear at Microsoft's press conference on Monday. The studio is claiming it will host a "big presentation" at the conference, urging all its Twitter followers to "watch this space!" for more (hyperbolic punctuation included!).
The studio could be gearing up to reveal some mysterious new IP that it had been working on for quite some time. Then again, maybe Lionhead's idea of a "big presentation" is Peter Molyneux playing beer pong on stage. The possibilities are endless, really, but we do know one thing: all will be known come Monday at 10:30 a.m. PST.

Microsoft might be working on 300K-player game

A job listing found on both Gamasutra and Microsoft's careers website is seeking out an engineer to work on a "game" that will support up to "300,000 players in real-time." The job ad states that Microsoft is working on "building an extremely high performance system to extend console games to the server in new ways" and that it's "creating a completely new set of web services" for Xbox Live and Xbox.com integration.
It sounds to us like Microsoft is planning to overhaul the Dashboard and Xbox Live service and combine it with an MMO-like system (given the 300K-player support). Or, it could be building a separate virtual world interface like Sony's PlayStation Home. What do you think Microsoft could be working on?
My call, they have an Onlive like service in the making

I'm pretty sure that guy was confirmed as a fake and was also Gamespoon who was making all kinds of nonsense calls about Sony's conference. Damn twitter.

As cool as it would be, I'm going to stay very skeptic until we actually see it. I remember people saying almost these exact same things last year, and the year before that for that matter, about Alan Wake being at that years conference.

The cast of Halo 3: ODST

If those graphics are from gameplay, this game will own Microsoft´s presser

It'll probably own the conference for most just because Halo is in the title. Can't say I'm all that interested in it personally, but it's a big thing for MS.

I don't think ODST is a buy for me.

I'd probably play it for 2 weeks then get bored like I did with Halo 3.

Is that Recon on an ODST body? Does that mean ODST will be a body type now? Cool.

I'll buy ODST, since it'll have all your Halo 3 stats & the same maps (Original, Heroic, Legendary & Mythic). I might sell Halo 3 unless ODST require Halo 3.

I´m a big Halo fan, so, i´m very interested in ODST, the only thing that turns me off a bit is that it is a expansion.

I first tried out the Eye Toy at the Louvre and I got hooked on it.

Two whole weeks? I played through the story of Halo 3 in about 2 days and then returned it. The Halo games are incredibly shallow and boring to me at this point, but I feel like I should still play them because they're basically the Xbox franchise.

We probably meant the online part of it I'm guessing. Hah, since this is suppose to be like an expansion you can probably do it in a few hours and be done with it, Corp

Oh yeah, people actually play multiplayer stuff. I'm weird. I usually ignore it. :oldrazz:

I usually do it, actually. If I had Live I might play ODST a little online, but not much. I doubt I'll even rent the game to be honest. I'll probably just borrow it from a friend of mine who's a Halo nut when he cools down on it some

I don't think we know yet. I'm not really sure on it honestly, but I keep hearing it referenced as an expansion of Halo 3, and if that's the case I would think it would be cheaper then a regular game. However, it is Halo and will sell way more than it ever should either way, so I don't know really

The last time i heard anything about it, they said it was going to be cheaper.

New rumor, there is a 4th Halo in the making.

Yesterday we got dropped that image of a Bungie forums search menu, which tipped something called "Halo: Reach." Such things are easily faked, and I couldn't run it down. Well, now someone's found a cache of since-deleted Bungie forum posts on this subject.

As you can see, for a brief time there was a forum for something called "Halo: Reach." A 2001 novel called "Halo: The Fall of Reach" is official, canonical, and functions as the prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved. It was also the basis for a spec script Stuart Beattie wrote for a Halo movie. Also, back in September, Phil Spencer indicated four Halo "things" were in development, two being Halo Wars, the Halo: Chronicles project said to be linked to Peter Jackson. A third can be assumed to be Halo 3: ODST, announced about a month after that interview. So is Halo: Reach the fourth thing?

The anonymous guy who gave us the search menu image yesterday claimed Halo: Reach is slated for Fall 2010, and this forum plus an ODST forum will go live June 1. Take that with a truckload of salt, but I guess it could point to an E3 announce for this Reach thing.

I haven´t read the book, but from what i´ve read, it´s great.
If there is a Halo: Reach and it´s based on that book, it can be amazing.

I read that it is exactly that, Halo 4 the return of Master Chief, will be a launch title for the next xbox.
And, the rumors say that Gearbox is the one that is going to do it.
