I remember listening to McQuarrie and Cruise’s commentary for Rogue Nation, and they were talking about how the originally the confrontation between Lane and Ethan was supposed to be this long cat and mouse chase that ended with Lane dying. McQuarrie said he ended up cutting it because he felt that it didn’t feel earned. I wonder if we’ll get something along the same lines here, but maybe with the roles reversed with Ethan hunting Lane.

Granted that might end up being too similar to that one section of Spectre with Bond shuffling through the old MI6 headquarters searching for Blofeld.

Henry Cavill going SAVAGE in that bathroom fight is easily my favorite part of the trailer. Something about that whole sequence just looked vicious and I really can't wait too see it in the actual movie.

Kinda reminds me of the bathroom fight in True Lies.

The hairline complaints with Cavill are so weird, haha. He's what, mid-late 30s or something? It'll probably stay where it is, doesn't seem like he's going to be going full-on Bruce Willis/Lex Luthor anytime soon.

Really liked the trailer. The action scenes were impressive and the lack of bad CGI is refreshing for an action movie.

Nobody knows the answer to that question.
Maybe Cavils character legitimately views Ethan as having really gone rogue this time and wants to stop him before anyone gets hurt.

I don't think Cavill is a great actor but I do generally find him better in most of the stuff I've seen him in outside of the DCEU movies. He could be a much better Superman with some good direction and writing.
