The version of Friction that I heard at the Imagine Dragons website had The M.I. bits in them.even tho I do not care for imagine dragons I DO like that song that is used in the trailer but only that version, I heard the song by itself and without the MI theme bits in there I do not care for it as much.
Nah it's an old song. The version of Friction that I heard at the Imagine Dragons website had The M.I. bits in them.
Maybe the song was made for the film.
The original is called "Warriors."Turns Out that the WW song is called Rise of the Warrior.
There is a song called Warrior by Demi Lovato, though.

Lorne Balfe has confirmed that he's scoring Fallout.
Personally, this news is a major disappointment. Joe Kraemer's score for Rogue Nation is one of my favorite action scores of the last decade, so for him to be replaced by a journeyman like Balfe is incredibly underwhelming. I used to be a big fan of Balfe's a few years ago (his work on Beyond: Two Souls and Blackwood was excellent), but he's been in a significant slump lately, as it appears he's chosen to go for quantity rather than quality. I mean honestly, the amount of scores he's able to do every year is ridiculous.
It doesn't help that his blockbuster scores (Terminator Genisys, Geostorm, Pacific Rim Uprising) themselves have been horribly generic. I'm sure Balfe will do a solid job and provide McQuarrie with what he wants, but I doubt it'll be half as interesting as what Kraemer came up with. If the filmmakers were deadset on getting someone trendy they should've at least gone for Brian Tyler. Again, not one of my favorite composers but I would've preferred something in the vein of The Mummy or Bangkok Dangerous to the droning synth that Balfe will most probably provide.
This is just another reason for me to skip this movie. I didn't care for Rogue Nation (or any of the Bad Robot M:I films) and the trailer left me cold. Unless this gets a higher critic score than the last one I'll probably skip it.

The last one had an RT score of 93%. This one could very well be higher, but if you hated that one despite the fact that it was universally praised, I highly doubt youre going to care for this one if its received slightly better by critics.
can anyone recommend a score from Lorne Balfe that they liked?
I listened to the Last Man On The Moon score, sounded pretty good.Rogue Nation has a metacritic score of 75. With Fallout I'll wait for the reviews and see what the overall feel for the film is before deciding, what areas it excels and fails in. I'll also probably give the score a listen and see if I'm up to hearing it for two hours in the theater.
Like I said in my post I really enjoyed his work on Beyond: Two Souls and Blackwood; The Last Man on the Moon, Pantani and Genius are also pretty good (though the latter is pretty derivative).
As long as they make the action look spectacular and Tom does the big stuff himself, audiences will return. At this point what can they really do with the Mission Impossible franchise? It just seems like they have exhausted this franchise out and the best thing they can do at this point anyway would be to either end the franchise as a whole or reboot it altogether not a hard reboot more like a soft reboot similar to what they did with the Bond franchise
