Despite some saying Cruise never ages he does. He certainly aged from ghost protocol to rogue nation.

Although the ghost protocol shot they used has him looking dirtier to mimic the hot sun and dirt

He looks like he's fifteen in part 1 and 2

and in rogue nation his face got fuller

Tom still has plenty of youth left in him ,IMO.
Nothing to worry about .

People aren't being literal. They say the same thing with Paul Rudd. They just mean he always looks youthful and nowhere close to his actual age.

Cruise likes a solid 39 years of age. No joke. And I would say he looks a tad younger with shorter hair.

:whatever: "S/He never ages" is a figure of speech. It means "They look younger than their age and have for quite some time".

The point is that statements like this aren't meant to be literal.

Por ejemplo:

A doctor gave a man six months to live. The man couldn't pay his bill, so he gave him another six months. .......bam ba dum ba dum ba.....

:woot:

Anyone care to wager what hairstyle he'll have in M:I6?

I hope short. He looks younger when he has shorter hair.

Short.
It really wasn't that long this time .
Certainly not like MI 2

I can't find it right now but there's like a photoset that shows the trend/pattern of how his hair is in each of the MI films.

I stand by my statement that this film franchise is Tom Cruise's "Superhero" franchise.

Bourne>Hunt/Bond

:oldrazz:
I used to love the Bourne films. Still do, I guess, even though I haven't seen them in ages. But Mission Impossible is my second favourite spy franchise after Bond, easily. I think they have more personality. Gotta love their theme tunes too!

Another two, three or four more of these movies would be ideal.

Better this than a MARVEL hero.

Anyone else remember when he was trying to develop 'Iron Man' in 1998?

:shudders:

I read this over on IMDB and it rings true...

This film and the two Marvel films released this year have gone a long way to saving the entire year in movies. Rogue nation borrows heavily from recent Marvel efforts and is basically a Marvel film itself. It's action packed, fun with a few funny laugh out loud moments! I know Marvel didn't invent thrills coupled with intrigue and humor but they have grown best at adapting it all together. Rogue Nation melds it all together and offers many of the same notes.

I literally laughed out loud when Hawkeye...er I mean Renner's character says to Ving...
"You had to pick the 4X4" during a high speed chase!
as well as certain Benji antics.

Ethan gives off a Captain America Winter Soldier vibe a lot in this film.

Ghost Protocol and Rogue Nation really do feel like Marvel films. This is what a Black Widow movie would be if you swiped out Scarlett for Cruise and SHIELD for IMF.

Nah. GP is more like the Incredibles, and thus a modern take on classical Bond. RN feels, well like Jack Reacher which makes sense. Basically a modern take on a late 80s/early 90s action flick. A more spy and suspense filled version of Lethal Weapon.

TWS does feel similar to these movies, but that is because it borrows heavily from the spy genre.
