So they made mention to Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird already being an agent so I feel confident she will appear this season.
Now yesterday it was revealed that Marvel trademarked Squirrel Girl..I have a feeling she will show up as Doreen Green in Agents of Shield and then re-appear in Jessica Jones in costume as Squirrel Girl and possibly be a part of the defenders.

My question for you all? Who would you cast?
Bobbi Morse / Mockingbird - Sarah Michelle Gellar
Doreen Green / Squirrel Girl - Eden Sher

Squirrel Girl is a fun character that I really enjoy in the comics (New Avengers, 2nd run especially) but I see 0% chance of an MCU introduction at this time, especially not in AOS, a show that although loved by many, still has many harsh critics in the Marvel fan base.

With a stable of superheroes that is still pretty lite on-screen, but hundreds of potential cool characters waiting to be mined and used, why go with a character who is always a tongue-in-cheek joke even when she is written respectfully? I just don't see this happening. I'd be glad to be proven wrong though. :yay:

G'day,

Squirrel Girl was the nanny to Luke Cage & Jessica Jones daughter. If they use her it will be on the Netflix shows not AOS.

Squirrel Girl is essentially a tribute (or parody depending on your perspective) of Silver Age characters. She works best when acknowledging that. Given that, any show that wants to maintain any level of grounded realism needs to avoid her.

That's not to say she should be avoided entirely. My personal view is they should move the One-Shots away from the idea of mini-sequels to the prior movie and give her a one-shot. That way she would be free to have her own tone that's appropriate for her without compromising it to maintain the tone of whatever show she's appearing in. You can have whoever you want appear in that one shot as well without causing as many problems as if she appeared in someone else's show.

Squirrel Girl should be a homeless teenager found hanging in the park.

Maybe use her for comical/filler episode complete with a laugh track.

Hail Squirrel Girl.
