More Exclusive Story Info About the Jla by Patrick Sauriol

thats why JL needs to be after batman and superman. darkside is to big for superman. ok. you can have brainiac. then make a JL movie with bale and routh and the villain should be darkside.
everything would be fine.
but noooooooooooooooooooooo :o

How is Darkseid "to" big for Superman? He handled him in STAS, no Justice League involved in that arc as far as I remember.

Geez, first people complain that Superman has no one to fight, then when someone mentions Darkseid he is all of a sudden too big for Superman to handle?

****

As for the whole Ra's thing. So what. The Ra's in Batman Begins hardly had the full flair the comics Ra's had. Hell, had Ra's been used to his full potential in Begins, he could have probably overshadowed Bruce's character. He is a really interesting villain, and I'm glad to see him in a movie with more fantastical elements.

Yes, we just saw Ra's. But we also saw Batman, and Superman, not too along ago. :whatever:

If people can imagine a JL film that has the same characters we have been seeing over and over in movies for decades, then surely they should be able to imagine what I suppose would be a very different version of Ra's Al Ghul. Just my 2 cents.

Darkseid vs. Superman is the fight scene film audiences have been waiting for thier whole lives, many just don't know it yet. Superman can handle Darkseid, but you need the league to battle all his Parademons and space cruisers.

Well, I'd expect New Genesis to be involved in some way. :cwink:

That's where introducing Darkseid gets tricky. There is so much story there, they'd have to almost do a new gods film first to give the proper introduction, not that I wouldn't wanna see that...I just wonder how much they'd change Darkseid and his origins if he did show up on screen.

Yeah. Personally I would put Darkseid in the solo Superman franchise, where his whole arc can get enough exposure. After that, he would be a good JL villain, looking for revenge. I imagine someone would want to use him in JL2 or JL3, maybe.

I'll be happy if shows up onscreen anywhere, as long as they use him to his full potential, as far as I'm concerned he is the best villian DC has.

If Darkseid is in the first JL flm, where do you go from there? How do you top that?

Where do you go from there? The Legion of Doom. The Crisis. Other planets. There are dozens of great stories that can be "bigger" than an alien god invading The Earth.

How do you top Darkseid? You build on what happens in the film involving him and move forward with the themes and storylines. Darkseid and the Apokolips Saga is huge, I won't argue that, but he's also a pretty simple, straightforward villain, and in terms of scale, still pretty small for the JLA compared to what can be seen in terms of impact and ramifications in their mythology.

For instance, I've been trying to do some more fanfic, and my series of Justice League scripts/stories starts off with Darkseid and his invasion, which plays up the metas/Gods angle, and through his interaction with the JLA, the world learns the JLA is mortal. Vandal Savage, Lex Luthor and Despero use that to their advantage in the sequel JUSTICE LEAGUE: ECLIPSE, and then things just get huge with JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE CRISIS, which builds on the first two stories themes and events.

I do not believe Darkseid requires a film to set up. He just requires efficient writing. Sage, tell the people it can work. You've seen it. :)

But let's talk about Ra's Al Ghul. If Ra's Al Ghul is indeed thought to be involved at some point in the film, I am curious to see how the writers of JUSTICE LEAGUE will handle this. Think about it: What, about the events of JUSTICE LEAGUE, would make Batman suspect Ra's Al Ghul? Is it just that someone who knows Bruce Wayne is Batman has stolen all his contingencies and apparently wants revenge?

Ra's Al Ghul was not depicted as having a worldwide organization in BATMAN BEGINS. Unless Batman detects some connection to Bhutan, what would make him think Ra's was involved in the events of JUSTICE LEAGUE?

You need a villain for the sequel (if no Darksied)??....

I know it would never happen. But, can you imagine how cool that pic would be if it was live action?? :wow:

No way Darkseid should be in this or mentioned at all. Wait for the 3rd one if we are lucky, as someone stated, you can't go any further than him.

If Ras is in this movie, he better be better than what he was in BB. He was useless, heck Ducard was more impressive... I want the "lazarus pit, I want to end the world" Ras Al Ghul.

Honestly its probably Lex....

People are jumping the gun talking sequels, its is way too early to bring up the subject.

You are right, but the WB is thinking about making sequels since they want this to be a franchise. With having said that, it effects on what will they do and who will be in the first movie. If this is a one and done, you can guess Darkseid but since it probably isn't you can rule him out...

everyone will assume that its Ra's including the audience until the third act we realize that it was Talia all along.

Meesa thinks that Bijou Phillips tested for that role and not Wonder Woman as everyone assumes.
Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable

The third baddy in the jl script according to the insider on the iesb boards is......................
Talia Al Ghul

Well that takes the fun out of it....

I just think people are setting themselves up for disappointment by talking sequels when there is no guarantee this film will be any good.

Thats the thing, the WB is caring more about getting people in the seats than being a movie worth an award. Having a movie based on the JL with great special effects would get people in the seats. Thus creatinga sequel even being an average movie at best.

Yeah, but no one will remember it in 5 years. That's the problem with film studio, sacrificing good story and quality cinema for cheap thrills and quick dollars, I swear they treat people like idiots sometimes by releasing stuff like TF and the Pirates sequels, I have a fear JL will unfortunately go down the same path. :csad:

Yeah, it was the only person that made sense as the 3rd baddie, considering that both Ra's and Max Lord had to be manipulated by such person. Not sure how I feel about this....

Eh, pretty anti-climactic imo. It's been done many times before in other movies, not just comic movies. At least half the James Bond movies.

If thats the case, just has Ras as the main villian....

Anticlimatic for fanboys. But I guess for the public, it might be a twist. Sorta, almost.. kinda... yea.. ok.

Honestly it all depends on how they do it. I would like it more if Bruce found out about this, he drops like nothing ever happened.
