More mature games?

I found it worth buying right away. (For the novelty of course. :O)

But I can understand why someone would wait. The really good games won't be rolling out until early next year throughout the year.:yay:

I think that the things in games that constitute them mature to people are overrated.

I don't need over the top action, gore, or sex/nudity to enjoy a game.

I game can be fun and still be kiddish, but so can films, but do you want to only get to see movies like Happy Feet?

Most definately not, but there are many people who automatically dismiss a game because it looks too kiddy when they shouldn't. If everyone did that masterpieces like Mario would never get a shot.

By the way, I also limit the adult type games in my house because of my daughter, so I play alot of the more so called kiddy games. I'm ok with that though, not everyone will be.

Plus, Happy Feet was lame-o, my daughter didn't even like it, and she's four. :p

Yeah Im waiting for No More Heroes
They have the new Far Cry coming out soon, 2 Mortal Kombats, Prince of Persia, Medal of Honor:Airborne, Transformers, Project HAMMER, James Bond, and Metroid Prime 3 are all coming out soon
Just a couple that I found Im sure there will be more
Developers will go to where the numbers are
If the sales of the Wii remain strong more companies will develop games on the Wii
Several companies have already pledged unannounced games like Ubisoft

Don't worry, you're daughter won't turn into a sireal killer 'cause she saw you play dead rising. Besides, I hope she goes to bed before you, simply play an M rated game while she's taking a nap or something.

and we've heard some whispers about a possible GTA wii.

A Grand Theft Auto game for the Wii? That would be weird. What they really need to put for the Wii is Guitar Hero. I don't know how the Wiimote would come into effect though...

Why would it be wierd, besides video games aren't supposed to appeal with moms. Nintendo is making a bad move.

It's called covering all your bases so you can make a profit. If I create something, I want as many people to buy it as I can, I ain't trying to remain faithful to any one group.

Except the mom's aren't going to be buying their games, it's the gamers.
So far the hard core gamers aren't that impressed with the wii, mainly do to the last gen feel of the graphics.

Well the DS is doing great and the Wii seems to appeal to the non-hardcore gamers.

Who do you think is buying games for 10 and 12 year olds?

Oh yeah, so it's obvious every 10 and 12 year old is buying their own games

I'm not saying that, but to try to cater to the group that's not playing it is dumb.

Wii needs more good games, not necessarily "mature" games. If those "mature" games are as crap as Far Cry Vengeance seems to be for example. For me Zelda looks like the only "must have"-game at the moment.

I'm hoping there will be more T to M rated games. Would someone like to voice there opinion.
You do realize that the rating is there to tell your parents how suitable the content of the game is for children don't you?

Having a T or M rating does not make the game good.
