More plot details?

where did you get all this from. it is very interesting and different from what others have been saying the past months

It really isn't.

The guy who gave the first script summary and Q & A also mentioned similar points, and it isn't very different from the article on the front page either. It's been hinted that there are different versions of the script out there so both could reflect different drafts.

:venom: Sorry to be the one to inform you of the error in the author’s logic, but to put it politely, this is BS. The events does not remotely take place to anything similar to what that article is saying.

**Spoiler Warning **

First, there is no “Love Triangle” between Peter, MJ, and Gwen. It is more of a “Love Triangle” between Peter, MJ, and Harry. Gwen is only infatuated we Spiderman, and use her prowess flirtatious ability towards Peter in hopes to meet and get close to Spiderman. There is no upside/down kiss with Gwen. No one knows that happened except for the two involved. Peter is a lot more confident towards the ladies, but never once does he necessarily flirts with them… Gwen, Betty, Ursula, and the pretty & party girls. He is just a little more suave with the ladies because of the influences of the Alien Symbiote. Problems develop between Peter and Harry over MJ because of her insecurities with Peter, coupled with Harry’s own sense of loneliness and secretly longing for her.

Second, Harry does not die. He is seriously hurt and lie unconscious. The only deaths in this film is the death of Aunt May and Sandman’s daughter.

Let me explain. The story follows the iniquities(anger, hatred, and revenge) of three men, Peter, Harry, and Eddie. This is what everyone is missing in the tagline, “How long can a man face the darkness within”. That tagline really applies to all three men and not just Peter. All three men own iniquities are thrust to the forefront because of the loss or near loss of father figures that they conveniently blame someone else for. Which of course is the lesson that Peter learns, that his own selfishness and iniquity led to the events of Uncle Ben death. He will finally get over it.

Of course in Peter’s case, his anger and hatred is geared towards Flint Marko aka Sandman, for he thinks is the death of his father figure, Uncle Ben; in which he place blame and seek revenge against. Harry face a similar path; but of course, his anger & hatred is directed at Peter for the death of Norman Osborn; which really more involved jealousy, because he thinks his father’s love was stolen by Peter, as well as MJ‘s love.

Eddie and Gwen was once involved in a relationship dating back to the first film when Eddie was first hired by the Bugle(Eddie been on it for weeks). Eddie is rather close to Gwen parents and looks to George as a father figure. Gwen terminates her relationship with Eddie, because she feels his ambitions is getting in the way of their relationship; so he is trying to win her back throughout the film. Capt. Stacy is accidentally and seriously hurt by Sandman; but ironically, Eddie blames Spiderman for his injuries. Eddie is already blaming Peter for what he thinks is Gwen’s infatuation with him, for exposing Eddie doctoring photos of Spiderman, loss of his career, and being label a fraud by all the press in New York City. Characteristically, this the reason he end up in church asking God “to kill Peter Parker”. Once he is possessed by the Alien Symbiote and learns that Peter Parker is actually Spiderman, his anger and hatred begin to quickly manifests into the beast Venom.

Harry is indirectly responsible for the death of Aunt May, which is the reason why Peter goes over Harry’s house and kicks his arse and why later, Peter is still has a difficult time asking Harry for help, after the kidnapping of MJ, by Venom. Harry does feels bad about Aunt Mays death. However while pleading to Peter that it was accidental, in a sudden revelation, he realizes now that Peter was telling him the truth about Norman’s death and agrees to help save MJ. Harry’s recognition that it is not in Peter’s nature intentionally to harm anyone, begin his own healing from his father’s insatiable visions.

Here is a little nugget of a piece of the battle at the end. Harry throws a Sonic Pumpkin Bomb at Venom, in which Venom catches and throw back at Harry. Spiderman in an attempt to save Harry, webs the bomb and toss it away from innocent bystanders. Incidentally, it lands and explodes right where Flint’s daughter come running up calling for her father. Sandman goes after Spiderman with a huge sand mallet, bigger than before. Just as he is about to kill Spiderman, Harry pushes Spiderman away, and take the brute force of it and is knocked completely unconscious.

I’m not going to get into the remaining details of the final battle or surprising cliffhangers at the end. Take it for what it’s worth.

Sounds pretty good, but I don't like Sandmans daughter being killed and I really doubt that Harry will survive the Battle royale...

Newspapers have often worked following the publisher's agenda, in real life and fiction (Citizen Kane).

Papers endorse political candidates and put slants on stories all the time.

And just because JJJ has it in for Spidey doesn't mean everything he does is unfair. They've done stories where JJJ has certainly been on the side of right.

I seriously- SERIOUSLY doubt Sony will release Spider-Man 3 and have a child killed.

The whole JJJ hates Spidey cause he wears a mask makes no sense. Why would simply wearing a mask make Jameson blind to everytime Spidey has done good, including saving JJJ and his son numerous times? Why wouldn't he be after every costumed character?

It's more plausible from the envy angle.

Jameson is a man who has great power and believes that he's doing something for the good for the people of New York and even the world. He even sires a hero astronaut. Then along comes Spider-Man, who accomplishes even more than Jameson and his son (Including over-shadowing John Jr. by saving his life). And as JJJ says in ASM #10, Spidey does it for no reward, unlike JJJ who's made a fortune. So naturally he'd feel belittled by Spider-Man and want to break him.

And it isn't as though JJJ is doing this out of total malice. In order to save his own pride, he's actually deluded himself into believing that Spidey does indeed have some hidden agenda, and its up to him to expose Spidey.
If that's the case, JJJ is just crazy (he needs mental help), he should be voted off of The Daily Bugle at the next meeting. He's running the place like a Saddam Newspaper.

Everything that we're saying(myself, Dragon and Visionary) leads us to believe that the Daily Bugle is the instrument of a bitter old man, that think that Spider-Man, with his great deeds to the town and people of NYC, makes him, a journalist, that in the 60's and 70's was a job that kind remind of heroes(just look at Watergate and all that crap), look kind of boring and not as great as having powers, using tights and kick some major asses.
But then again, being a superhero makes every other job boring.
So long story short, JJJ is an ass.

hey, you never know.... The Punisher's son was killed in that movie....

even though I doubt it would happen... Killing animals, namely dogs and killing kids are taboo.... even though Sam Raimi did a movie in which a TREE RAPES A WOMAN..... so you never know:dry:

and it added something to his character.... so, if killing Sandman's duaghter, add's something to his character, why not do it?

even though i ddoubt it will happen.....
Except it didnt add to his character seeing as in the comics he had 2 children who both got killed along with his wife.

wow, that sounds amazing. and it fits in with what i've heard so far. and it also explains the "Eddie's been on it for weeks", the other summary didn't.

call me a sucker, but i believe it

how didn't it add anyything to his character... his kid was killed

Because his kid got killed in the comics too, therefore it didnt add anything new to his character in the movie.

if they can kill Bambi's mom...... they can kill anything

but who are we kidding, this guy just wrote that summary from what he wants to see.... it ain't going to happen.... I think that if Sandman's duaghter was killed in the way it was described, it would make people either laugh at the pure suprise of it, or they would be shocked.... what would be the overall purpose of killing his duaghter in the last 15 minutes..... makes no sense really.... no one has any idea what is going to happen, if they did, and it was posted on some big website, sony would have it removed....

really, who the **** cares if a child is killed? it just goes to show little children they shouldn't get involved when superheroes are fighting villains.

that's not what I meant... forgetting the comics, showing the punishers kid get killed in the film, impacted that movie's character....

nevermind...

um, your kidding right? aren't you contradicting yourself because you just said if they can kill bambi's mom, they can kill anything? why would anyone laugh? it's not a freakin comedy. who laughed when ock's wife died? and why is killing off someone's daughter in the last 15 min senseless?

Well of course it impacted his character, but it didnt add anything new. But whatever we'll end this.

think about it

big fight is going on... 2 vs 2

all a sudden Sandman's daughter comes running "DADDY" and spiderman deflects a pumpkin bomb at her.... BOOM, she turns into a green skeleton and falls apart...

how is that not funny?

and it would be senseless, lets say, spiderman accidently sets in motion events that kill sandman's duaghter halfway through the film, it gives sandman more of a motive to go after SM... even though, the movie is getting a little to much "you killed my loved one"...

Damn good post. Imagine the rage and wrath thar Sandman bestowes on everyone!Interesting story.

wow, a child killed in a movie?! never seen that before.
Unfortunately, when you're trying to sell Happy Meals and plush toys, I pretty much doubt they'll allow it. Thus, is why I think most, if not all, comic book movies should be R-rated. As it stands now, they're all stuck in this in PG-13 rut, and they all suffer from any really brutal and intense scenes, damn Soccer Moms.

When Ock's wife died wasn't funny because it was all a big accident.
If Sandman's daughter dies in this way is funny because she would be a stupid kid who run in the middle of a big ass fight. Kill her before she grows up and become a stupid adult.
That might sound harsh, but hey, thats life...:whatever:

exactly... the scene wouldn't be meant to be funny, it just would be because of how lame it is
