Let's take that one step further, Cyke-unlike Luke & Jessica, he'd been accepted into the Avengers before. Twice.

Cyclops said:You take everything too personally.
Doesn't he? This is not the place to be overly sensitive, ESPECIALLY if you're going to be defending the minority opinion.Cyclops said:You take everything too personally.
Amen.Dangerous said:Word. (hahah I think its SIAT who thinks I am uncool when I say that)
Anyway SIAT I don't think you are a chump it was just a figure of speech.
I know you are a real SM fan, so lets play nice and hold hands huh? heheheh
Personally I don give a f**k about popular opinion I just go w/ what I believe to be the truth about SM, and how I see the character (For example- I think USM sucks s-hit and I cant stand it).
If my opinion was in the minority like yours I'd still stick to my guns.
i think its just because hes the youngest on the team... to be honestCyclops said:Precisely. Jessica's only been at best an ally of theirs before now. But because Bendis can only write Ultimate Spider-Man and New Avengers is the number one book, all the other interpretations of Spider-Man have sunk to the "newbie" depths.
And that's almost as terrible as Lex Luthor stealing 40 cakes.
ya.... like you can really sit here and tell me the lizard, green goblin, spider-man, sandman and esp electro busts arnt friggin awsomeHoratioRome said:OMG, LOL,..That doesn't suprise me one bit. you would like this more than Bowen Designs![]()
no one is treating him like one besides himself.. hes not use to being a team player so he for some reason seems to think hes not confident enoughChris Wallace said:Still no reason for him to come across as-or be treated like-a rookie.

Truth be told, though, he's done it before; in the presence of Cap, & sometimes Wolverine, all that knowledge & confidence seems to just disappear.
I picked it up yesterday & you're right; it's the only way the unmasking should've been done. I could have accepted that. I would've been happy with that. Because it takes Spider-Man back to what he was always supposed to be; the everyman.shinlyle said:Okay, here's a link to the cover:

The story takes place after the events in Marvel Knights: Spider-Man, and involves Peter having nightmares about being overwhelmed by his foes. Aunt May tells him that he should tell everyone who he is. He makes a deal with JJJ to reveal his identity in exchange for an exclusive interview which Spider-Man will write, and which will NOT be editted in any way.
The ending is truly beautiful, and it's really how the unmasking should've taken place, IMHO. The artwork's decent as well.

In a way it kinda reminded me of everybody rallying behind him in the first movie. They had his back b/c despite what they'd read about him, they could see him for what he truly was.
Plus in Black & Blue, JJJ couldn't sue him.

While some do take such extreme positions, not all of us do. Pay attention here-this is going to be a bit of a shock. I can honestly say, with no ironic intent, that I have a great deal of respect for you. Why? Because you stick to your guns. No matter how wholeheartedly I disagree with your opinion, I like that you can stand your ground in the face of all the controversy. That's impressive. Without free-thinkers like you the world would go to $h!t rapidly (kinda like it's in danger of doing now.) So don't blow that by taking the Eric Cartman "Screw you guys-I'm going home" position. Accept that we don't see Spider-Man the way you do & continue to debate with us anyway. Don't make me reveal more potentially embarrassing things about myself just to get you to lighten up.
And some of us aren't taking the "anti" approach because it's more popular; simply because we believe it's right.
