Actually, both the Joker and the Penguin escaped from the "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"'s institution and moved to Gotham:woot:

And the organ grinder with the monkey fromPenguin's gang

The bullet that MAgneto threatens to put through the cop's head in X-Men to scare off Xavier takes on a more cruel connotation since in FIrst Class, Magneto forced a coin slowly through the head of a man Xavier was "possessing" (for lack of a better word) leading to their falling out.

James Remar was originally cast as Corporal Dwyane Hicks played by Michael Beihn in ALIENS, he had to leave due to personal issues but according to a book on the Alien franchise you can spot him from the back in one scene, good luck trying to find him.

I think they point out which scene it is in the audio commentary on the DVD and blu-ray.

I'm watching the movie "North" for the first time since I was a kid and MAN is this movie stupid.

Oh and Scarlett Johannson plays Elijah Wood's (potential) sister.

All three (modern) actors who played The Joker in live-action are Oscar winners.

In Avengers, there's the scene when the team starts sniping at each other right before Loki's bad guys attack. When the scanners get a ping on the cube's location, Banner says "oh my god" right before Hawkeye starts the fireworks. He must've seen that the cube was at Stark Tower, but didn't have time to say so before the place blew and he Hulk'd out. It's also how he knew where to go (relatively) to join up with the team when the invasion started.

Ever read Ebert's review? It almost makes the movie worth existing.

It was indeed beautiful...

I only just now noticed the Architect's distracting eye moles, but now that they've been pointed out to me, I can see nothing else.

I got to watch Reloaded in IMAX once. You can see everyone's freshly shaven stubble, and the Architect's eye mole was the size of my head.

Thank you. I've tried for an in-universe explanation for how he knew where go. I love in-universe stuff, and this fits perfectly.

Just read it. And I agree wholeheartedly. It really is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Of course as a child, I thought it was pretty good. :o

Thanks for the heads up.

Boogie Nights' Dirk Diggler has the birth name of Eddie Adams. Eddie Adams is also the name of the man who took that picture in Vietnam. You know, that picture.

Face/Off has a 91% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. To put it in perspective, some of the other films that have a rating 91%: Blade Runner, The Fellowship of the Ring, and Million Dollar Baby. Now I'm not calling Face/Off a bad film because it isn't at all, but I had no idea it was THAT well received.

Batman Begins: You can see the Penguin and Poison Ivy in Arkham, while Joker can be seen in the street with the other escapees.

Yeah I was totally caught off guard by how good it is, its one of those rare great John Travolta and Nicolas Cage performances before they went on to mediocre roles.

The final boat chase is brilliant pre-CGI stunt work.

^ I agree. Although the wires are visible in almost every action scene and the two guys jumping away from the boat are clearly no the actors. :D But yeah, I loved that movie.

The thing about a Rotten Tomatoes is that it is a pass/fail system. Pretty much everyone likes Face/Off. It may not be their favorite movie, but it's entertaining enough. While people might not rave about it and say it's a near perfect movie like the other movies listed in your post, it still gets a passing grade.

Spoiler for Age of Ultron that I posted in 2014.

That Loki's staff could possibly be the mind gem/infinity stone.

I'm in the camp that's skeptical of that, only because it would seem impractical for Thanos to let Loki borrow the stone after already possessing it and risk losing it.

It would make it easier. How many more infinity stones could they honestly write about it being on Earth unless one of the villains brings it there, otherwise it'd have to be introduced in another Thor or Guardians sequel.

Who said the remaining stones needed to be on Earth? The way I see it, if all the stones will be introduced by Avengers 3, there's still time to introduce them in not only GOTG 2 or Thor 3, but also Dr. Strange.

Loki's staff was powered by the Tesseract, they both give off the exact same energy signature. They aren't going to have two different Infinity stones emitting the same color & type of energy.

Also there's no reason why they all have to be accounted for by Avengers 3. The last one could be introduced during that movie.

Sure. The way I see it, the problem isn't introducing them all, it's how Thanos will get them. He's already going to need to go to Asgard for the Tesseract, Knowhere for the Aether, Xandar for the Orb...I wonder how much time they'll spend focusing on how he obtains them.

I'm not sure if they're going with the designations from the comics at all. The effects of each of them have been so varied that almost any of them could qualify as the Power gem.

Also, I vaguely remember someone saying in Avengers that the scepter was powered by the cube (they didn't explain it very well) and Cap mentioning that "it works an awful lot like a Hydra weapon." So I also don't think the scepter counts as one of the stones.

That's all. Tangent over.

Excuse me while I strut.

The Karate Kid is actually really well written and has nuance and character development that I didn't notice when I was 12.

Haha I didn't forget this conversation while I was watching the movie. (AOU SPOILERS) [BLACKOUT]I still think it was foolish of Thanos to entrust Loki with an Infinity stone to retrieve another one, knowing that if the plan failed (which it did), he would lose access to both. Judging from the after credits scene, he seemed to have learned his lesson. To quote the Joker, you can't rely on anyone these days. You've got to do everything yourself.[/BLACKOUT]
