Movie Stuff You Only Now Just Realized - Part 5

The movie was on this weekend. I thought Tony, the vagina face mutant, looked and sounded familiar. I looked it up and it's Dean Norris (Hank on Breaking Bad). He also played the SWAT team leader in T2 and had a role on the Sarah Connor chronicles series.

he was also in Starship Troopers as the officer in charge of the boot camp, he is the one that tells the only way Zim can join in the war is if he busts himself down to private :hehe:.

In Back To The Future when Marty is tardy for school the dialogue goes like this:

Strickland: I hear your band is signed up for the auditions. Why even bother? No McFly has ever amounted to anything in the history of Hill Valley.

Marty: Yeah, well history is gonna change.

And it does.

Marty changes history and his Dad does amount to something.

Also, in that same conversation, Strickland "giving a nickel's worth of advice for free" is essentially admitting his opinion isn't really worth a damn.

Copeland from the Police Academy movies was the blonde thug whose mate got shot in the balls by Robocop

I swear that's like the 9th time someone has spotted Dean Norris in Starship troopers or Total Recall. This thread is eating it's own tail.

It's like how every month or so, the "unpopular film opinion" thread becomes a Batman movie thread.

Shutter Island and Inception, two movies released in 2010 where Leonardo DiCaprio plays a man whose wife is dead and she only shows up in either dream scenes or flashbacks.

Sorry for not reading through all 40 pages of the current thread or the previous 4 threads. :o

It wasn't a knock, just an observation that the Norris thing cycles through a lot. Lots of other ones do too (like Geoffrey in Batman Begins, frex)

I just realized that Moulin Rouge's Come What May didn't get nominated for/win an Academy Award for Best Original Song, AND THAT'S A GODDAMN TRAVESTY!!! :argh:

I don't care if it was written for Romeo + Juliet, if that movie never used it, it should count.

Had no idea that William Sadler(President Ellis in Iron Man 3) was The Grim Reaper in Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey!

Watching Terminator 2 for the bajillionth, I just barely noticed that the T-1000 was using three arms while flying and shooting at Arnie in the helicopter.

I remember reading people's thoughts about how they thought that was a blooper that made it into the movie :funny: I always noticed it was him using a 3rd arm to fly and shoot.

James Gunn wrote 2002's Scooby-Doo and its sequel in 2004.

In Police Academy 2, in the scene where Jones Kung Fu fights two thugs, the white thug is played by the stuntman who played Jason/Roy Burns in Friday The 13th Part 5: A New Beginning.

Having finished watching Miami Vice the other day, the number of famous names in it was just so staggering. I won't go back and list them all but it was quite interesting to see that at the time nobody name on the show in some bit appearance or minor guest role later became a Hollywood bigshot.

In BTTF, Marty's Mom pretty much ignored the fact that Marty was taken away by Biffs goons when she dances with George at the dance after knocking out Biff.

Granted Marty is on stage playing the guitar by that point but I just think it was funny that there wasn't any form of acknowledgement from her to see that Marty was okay. She was pretty much just seeing stars after George rescued her. Haha.

Heather Graham is in Twins as the younger version of the mother.

Joss Whedon wrote Toy Story. Not something I just realized but it's one I always forget and I always think "that's cool :oldrazz:"
