Movies that made you or your date cry

he was terrible in the longest yard

Considering the film was terrible to begin with and really wasn't meant to be serious in the first place isn't his fault really.

But he was and is excellent in Punch-Drunk Love, Spanglish, 50 First Dates, and Click.

@Ben Urich- I remember when I saw the Passion of the Christ on opening night. It was packed no empty seat in the part of the theater that I was attending. One lady was sitting next to me and another was behind me.

Both were just crying their eyes out, I mean just literally, bawling their eyes out during the torture scenes and I kept on looking because even I(as a total stranger) got concerned for her well being.

As gruesome and sad as those scenes were, I, more or less felt more anger during those scenes than anything else.

Groping is not comforting.

You have a lot to learn from the master. . . .

And I take it you've never watched Click? That is his best film and most critics agree that he has the talent to pull off a serious role. Personally his performance in Click made me tear up and feel bad for his character.

Actually critics tore Click apart, calling it a It's A Wonderful Life ripoff.

All these made my eys itch:
1. "Passion of Christ"
2. "Charlette's Web" when I was a kid
3. "Woman thou art Loosed"

Maybe you're just really, really, really sensitive. What part of Forrest Gump?

I cried at the end of Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire when

Cedric was killed. He was too good-looking to die. :o

but seriously, after Harry brings back Cedric and everybody is cheering and then they realized what happened just got to me.Especially Cedric's dad.He cried so bad, I wanted to cry with him.

Me (cried) Shawshank Redemption and Band of Brothers
G/F at the time (threw up) Saving Private Ryan

1) You don't think watching Forrest cry at Jenny's grave is heartwrenching? :csad:

2) His reaction to finding out Forrest Jr. was his son? "Is he smart or is he....?"

3) His first reunion with Jenny after his Vietnam experience.

Those were the main parts that made me choke up.

I get misty at the end of Forrest Gump.

"Is he...like me?"

The fact that Forrest recognizes his disability really gets to me.

Tsotsi
Simon Birch

I only watch these movies alone because I know I'm going to cry like a baby.

i used to cry alot during fg too. i've become desensitized to it tho..

Terms Of Endearment. When Debra Winger's kids are visiting her before her death, and the ungrateful older kid viciously insults her as she's dying, and the youngest son just bellows, "Shut up! Just shut up!", it is impossible not to tear up. It even made examine and rethink the way I treat my own mother. Granted, I'm nowhere near as ungrateful or disrespected as that bastard was, but it hit me that hard.

I know I've done this before so I'll just answer about the date until I can find my list.
My boyfriend, at the time, had a hard time during The Green Mile he was stifling his crying, laughed instead.

Wasn't what I meant. I just wanted to know which part.

Never cried in a movie. Or my date.

(do I get a merrit badge or something?)

I cried at the end of West Side Story and Somewhere In Time.

Somewhere in Time-that was w/Christopher Reeve, yes?
