My girlfriend dumped me

Preach the word, Erz, Preach it.

We should do a Hype sponsored pay-per-view CAGE MATCH!
Erz vs. a 19 year old kid who thinks he's seen it all, had a rough life and doesn't understand why girls only want to be with ass****s and always treat nice guys like s***!!!

br00TALity!

and then I'll headline against a staunch Christian who believes the Bible is literally the Word of God and who takes it 100% literally and thinks Led Zeppelin sucks.

yes!

To be fair Batman was already very jaded by my age. Although he hadn't become Bats yet. :p

Also, it's not 'mostly negative'. There have been a number of people who have been trying to help you, but you just shoot them down... over and over again... and continue to wallow in self-pity.

Well if its not something that can help me too much in my current situation then its not. Do you want me to lie and say it is?

And, you think a smart, mature woman would be attracted to someone like that?

I'm not a woman, I couldn't speak for what they think is attractive.

Throw in JAL, GAH and Jonty for a 4 on 1 handicapped match which I will eventually win because of a run in by Jessica Alba or Jonty's Nephew.

I understand where you're coming from on most of it, I just don't know how much it can help me out right now. I think I just have to let things work themselves out naturally.

Are you serious? You've not heard everyone telling you that you are the only one that can change your circumstances? Wow. You deserve every bit of harrassment you get on here.

Batman witnessed the death of his parents. He trained with the best masters/teachers of the world. He didn't become jaded from having 2 girls turn him down.

Way to avoid the question. :whatever:

and now in our tale came a turning point for Wilhelm-Scream:

did he take pity on this young one, who had just demonstrated, if nothing else, a healthy and discerning ear?

...or did he destroy him once and for all in order to keep the Zeppelin-fans bloodline clean?

Wilhelm withrew for a moment...

Okay, I understand that. But in my current situation theres not a lot to be changed, thats all I'm saying. I can't do much for myself until I change certain things. Living in the boonies with no car and not going to school or being in a job that puts one around their peers isn't the best situation in which to improve one's social skills.

What I meant was I have to change these things first before I can change the real problem. Thats why I told Wilhelm about Dallas and all that other stuff. Once I get to that point I'll be a lot better able to work on this problem.

Fine then no.

Okay I admit it I've played dumb on a lot of these points where I knew you were right.

To clarify- Are yousaying your jobsputs you around your peers or it puts you around peopel who are not your peers?

People who are not my peers. I work in residential painting so the people I work with are all over 30, and the people we work for(the customers) are all older people. Its not exactly like most jobs people my age have like working at a store or fast food place which puts you around other young people.

But I wouldn't give it up to be around young people, I make better money doing this than I would at any other job I could get right now.

I guess I try to compensate for my weaknesses with being jaded. Guess its easier to just throw your hands up in the air and resign yourself to being a weirdo then to actually try.

Exactly. Those things that happened to you in high school, your recent break up, take them as learning experiences. Dust yourself off and move on from there.

But like I said, I caution you on relationships with women if you plan on moving.

Lastly you might meet a slew of women when you move. Don't be in such a hurry to find someone and have a lil dignity to know you can actually choose who you wanna date.

If you know things won't change much in terms of your social circles until you move to Dallas, then why are you complaining? Enjoy having time to introspect and work on yourself with the understanding that you'll be changing things in the near future.

Last I checked your parents weren't murdered in front of you. :cwink:

People are trying to help with your current situation. You just keep saying that you either a) don't need it, b) don't want it or c) don't think it applies.

I'm not a woman, I couldn't speak for what they think is attractive.

Stop being obtuse. Why would any person want to be with another person who looks at their options as being either a) seek and accept negative attention or b) sit alone and feel sorry for themselves?

In all seriousness, would you want a girlfriend whose moods you were responsible for? For example, next year, when you're in culinary school... would you want to be with a girl who was so needy that she required you pay attention to her all the time and who got sad and mopey when you had to study for class? Would you want to be with a girl who got upset if you decided you wanted to spend an afternoon with your friend instead of her? Would you want to be with a girl who blamed you if she wasn't happy, even if you didn't do anything wrong?

You're right, I'm just being a whiny, impatient little *****.

Yeah, well, looks really aren't that big of a deal to me. But I shouldn't compromise on personality. For example, I'm a pinko liberal. It would be pathetic to go out with some right winger even though I know it won't work just to go out with someone.

Nope, I wouldn't. I was just being obtuse on purpose. :o
