Give him the black/red S this time around. Change it uo a little

I thought the costumes in Black Adam were great. Do something similar to those, but with the classic design. And yes, with the trunks.

I'm very nervous about the suit, say what you will about the films themselves but Henry's suits in MOS/BVS/JL were fantastic designs --utter perfection. They were the perfect modern upgrade to Superman's classic costume. I feel like for this new movie in an attempt to distinguish themselves from Snyder they're going to go with a wildly different design motif.

I liked the Snyder suits' design a lot... but felt they ruined them with the grimy soot look from MOS and the excessive padding from BVS and onward. For my money, and nitpicking admittedly plays a role, there are few shots in all 3 movies where he actually gets to look fully "good" with zero qualms.

More than happier to have a leaner, more toned Superman, and a suit that fits that form. Cavill looked like an over stuffed sausage most of the time. No reason for an alien from another world who's powered by the sun to be that jacked.

And keep the suit classic this time. Red trunks back, bold bright S symbol.

A pig in a blanket?

Right.

Superman just needs to be strongly built. Doesn't need to be shredded with <5% body fat. Something more in line with Hardy's physique in The Dark Knight Rises. Strongman vibe.

Physique is my last concern with Superman, I care about Height more but he doesn't need to be like 6'6 If Lois is like 5'7. A good 6'2 or 6'3 works great.

I'm really open to the Suit, I wouldn't even mind the jeans and Tshirt look tbh. Another thing is I love seeing new suits for each movie but I hope in this new DCU Gunn sticks with the same looks for most people, that might not be directly up to him but it makes way more sense for Superman to wear his same suit than like Batman Who would upgrade it constantly.

I would very much like the suit to have been made by his mother again. I always loved that idea, and it would fit the hopefully more wholesome version of Superman we might get.

We don’t need any lame justifications for what the S stands for. It stands for bloody Superman… nothing else. The symbol should be entirely a thing created on earth, no attachment to Krypton. Let’s have a Clark who’s proud to be the character again… and the creator of his own look, with his mother’s help.

There’s nothing wrong with him deliberately crafting a bright, friendly super suit to help show that he’s there to help people. Same attitude as Peter Parker.

I wouldn't mind having a sequence like Dean Cain's Clark had where Ma Kent made him all these different costumes to try on and most were unsuitable.

I'd like it if Supes has a pretty lame costume to start with, just spandex, slapping some trunks on the top as not to feel so naked.

And then maybe in a Justice League movie, Bruce has a sleeker one made for him, more like the MOS costume's materials. And yet Clark insists on keeping the trunks, swearing it's essential to his whole look.

Batman could make him the Bat Super suit like Tony Stark made the Iron Spider suit. :o

For his first suit-- Morrison t-shirt and jeans. Inspired by the (very few) images he saw of Krypton, made by Ma Kent. And yes, the S just stands for Superman.

Second/classic suit-- Kryptonian in origin so we can get some movie quality gear going again. Same kind of texture and Routh's COIE suit, but incorporating whatever advancements have been made in building the muscle suit-less Black Adam costume.

For the first suit, I’d like to see an amalgamation of Morrison’s New 52 look with American Alien.

Having Clark use a Batman-type cape is fun world building that’s not overly-obtrusive in the story. Martha doesn’t like it and doesn’t want Clark to be like that “nut in Gotham City.”

I just realized we'll probably get a new shield design for the House of El.

I think this is exactly the kind of motif they're going to go for and ...I kind of hate it tbh. I'd like the design to be sleek and simple like Henry and Tyler Hoechlin's costumes and not overdesigned like these.

In my dream of dreams we'd get the Fleischer suit or a modern upgrade of it.

It will definitely be a brand new suit.
We get to nitpick and argue for months and months until we see it.
Then we get to nitpick and argue for months longer until the film is released.

As for as the where it comes from?
I'd kinda like to see star labs help him design it from the clothing that covered him on his journey to Earth.

It should be indestructible also. Or darn near it.
It should be able to withstand bullets, heat, and cold with no problem.
The only thing that can really damage it should be either a nuke or a supervillain as strong as he is.
Or, it can come from nano tech. It can instantly repair itself if damaged.

I've never been bothered by the nanotechnology but Superman is one of the last places I Wanna see it.

I'm not against the idea the protosuits but I hope he already has THE suit

Hoping for a lighter, more vibrant shade of blue that evokes the classic Silver and Bronze Age look. And I've always been a fan of the glossy look, anything that reflects light. They can go crazy on the fabric itself. Low-key alien patterns are fun.
