I was talking about alternatives to calling the police. You didn't call the police to stop him from hitting you... you called the police after he had already stopped. The police did nothing. Since they did nothing, then obviously it was the wrong decision to get them involved.

I had already let the cops know my wishes, which was to charge him absolutely. Unfortunately, only the homeowner can actually get the cops to lay charges.

I did my responsibility, my mom (the homeowner) didn't carry out my wishes.

I'd just like to point out a few things...I apologize if they have already brought up.

1) Jonty implied in one thread post his nephew should not be living with his parents...but his nephew is only 21...yet Jonty, whom I assume is older...lives with his parents.

2) Jonty went out of his way to say it didn't hurt...I believe the exact words were it felt like "wet spagehtti"...and yet he called the cops. Either Jonty is terribly irrational or his nephew did in fact beat the hell out of him.

3) Mr. Family Values Jonty hates his family...yet he has no problem mooching off his parents?

4) Anyone else see the irony of the person who calls himself War Lord (and he is really the only one who refers to himself that way) calling the cops when his nephew hit him?

1. I never said that he shouldn't be living where he is living. I said he's leading a useless life, not that he doesn't have the right to live here.

2. It was the principle of the thing. Doesn't matter if a person does major damage or if his punches are useless, nobody should tolerate being attacked.

3. I don't hate my family, I hate being attacked for no reason.

4. Again, I can't risk a criminal record, for any reason, because I am very close to getting my own business, which I value the opportunity very much. If I end up with a criminal record, I don't get the business. That's why I can't risk beating the patootie out of him.

Jonty, you might want to consider changing your name. "War Lord" doesn't really fit for someone who is against violence. Not to mention the fact that you support George "I'm a war President" Bush and the Iraq war. Sounds pretty hypocritical.

Since it was just Jonty and his fat **** of a nephew at home, who would have called the police if Jonty hit his nephew while the nephew was beating him? Jesus? Mohammed? Buddha? The Flying Spaghetti Monster?

The answer is NO ONE. You'd both be busy fighting to stop and call the police. If no one calls the cops, then there is no criminal record.

Or in this case, there is no criminal record because the cops thought you were both *****es

When you're 19 and get a criminal record, it's not a big deal because after 7 years and a clear record, you still pretty much have your life ahead of you.

When you're nearly 40, it's a different situation.
