My worries about Planet Hulk...

Probably but doesn't Hulk have, like, psychic resistance or some s**t? I dunno. Are a lot of the X-Men in space right now? Not the Astonishing team, since that's kind of just shoehorned into continuity wherever, but like, the Uncanny team? Haven't been following the book, but I heard they were in space.:o

And, you know, Hulk's on a team right now. He's gone through some pretty tough battles with rock man and bug thing, and gray guy. Don't forget about gray guy!

I am pretty sure there are a lot of peeps at the x institute that could take hulk, especially as a team...

Unless Phoenix comes back somehow then no way is that happening. Hulk is mowing through mutants (AND probably Sentinels) like its no big deal.

You all seem to forget too that Hulk and his warbound managed to overthrow another PLANET over the last year or so. A planet capable of keeping the Silver Surfer as a slave.

Oh, whatever. Hulk's ship took most of the beating that the magic weakening portal ( :whatever: ) dished out, whereas Surfer was sucked right into it, no protection. And, you know, whatever to that, anyway. Chalk it up to Pak favoritism

Plus Sufer just b**ched out to some Human Torch fireballs and a Black Panther wrestling hold last ish of FF. So, he ain't exactly what he used to be.

Heh, you mean Korg, Meik, and Hiroim. Yeah, all of those guys are excellent warriors. Korg and Hiroim are in the class 100 I believe and excellent fighters, while Meik got an upgrade during Planet Hulk and is pretty strong himself and skilled in battle. They know how to handle themselves pretty good.

The Uncanny team is in space, but that arc is finishing up now and they will be back I guess for the event, but supposedly some of them aren't coming back. So we might not see Rachel here; or maybe Havoc and Lorna are the ones that stay behind.

I am super interested in this. I was never a hulk fan, but basically know that he should win(beat people down) a lot.

The fact that the Surfer was such a ***** was one of the things that confused me about Planet Hulk. 'Cause he was, like, a giant *****.

He was a ***** last FF ish, too, as I stated above. So, he's kind of a puss now, is what we're saying.

Yeah, Hulk's team isn't really big with the variety, are they? Pretty much a bunch of tankers. I mean, Hulk has speed too, and I'm sure Hiroim is fast (red girl too). Not much with the long-range fighting, though. No mental stuff, no power blasts from the eyes/hands...the bug can fly, I guess. There's that.

I know, I was trying to repress the memory of BP's Super Cosmic-Buster Arm Hold (!). But the worst part of it is that it makes even less sense than it should in the wake of Annihilation. Returning to Galactus as his herald was supposed to give the Surfer a boost in power, shown in the difference between his first and second fights with Ravenous (pwnee in the former, pwner in the latter), but apparently that's only within the confines of Annihilation-related things. Everywhere else, he's continuing to be a girly weakling.

I can't get enough of Greg Pak's Hulk.

I really can't.

During Planet Hulk he has gotten stronger and stronger. At one point I recall he threw a like small mountain at his enemies. Later on in the run saw Hulk freefall from orbit in space down to Sakaar's surface.

And that was before he got a power level boost from absorbing energy from the shuttle explosion.

The Hulk has never been more strong... or angry! :word:

Yes Silver Surfer is a wimp now, look at how he had to defeat Tenberous and Aegis? Not too mention the fact how he could not break out of a Head lock....by the BLACK PANTHER!!!! Bwhhwhahwhahaqhahaha:o

Well, the Tenebrous and Aegis thing was pretty badass, actually. I didn't expect him to beat them one-on-one or anything. They're each as powerful as a well-fed Galactus.

I'm pretty sure Elektra's shown a level of martial arts prowess up there with the likes of Daredevil, Iron Fist, and the other greats, several of whom have beaten Wolverine themselves. Plus, I think she got a whole bunch of quasi-magic ninja powers a few years back in her ongoing series. Granted, I didn't read the fight in "Enemy of the State," but on paper it doesn't seem like she'd be overmatched against Wolverine.

Def agree there. Every word of it

Whats this about Surfer getting in a headlock by the Black Panther?? It sounds completely ridiculous. At least in Planet Hulk, Surfer had been weakened by the portal. And even then, he gave Hulk one hell of a fight!

That's how WWH is going to end -- Black Panther holds a helpless Hulk in an armlock until he calms down, tells how sorry he is and promises to abandon his quest of vengeance.

Edit: And if the Hulk foolishly keeps struggling, BP will just rip his arm off! (like he would have done to Silver Surfer)

Shut up, dude. The Surfer was just humoring BP because he didn't want to vaporize him where he stood. He must've been. Right?

:(

That's exactly what happened. Now if BP could only put a chokehold on this Hype lag.

I haven't read the issue in question. Could someone explain the context? How'ad BP manage to get Surfer in a headlock?

It wasn't a headlock, it was more of an armlock, like the ones cops use on unruly trailer trash. The Surfer was distracted and BP dropped down behind him and put him in the armlock, then he started babbling nonsense about tearing off the Surfer's arm. Obviously, the Surfer would've felt bad if he'd twitched and hurled BP halfway across the galaxy, so he played along to soothe BP's fragile ego in front of the missus.
