My worries about Planet Hulk...

Silver coating that can withstand the best the Hulk, Thor, and motherlovin' black holes can throw at it, my friend. :oldrazz:

Initially when I read the scene, I didn't think it was terrible. I just thought Paul drew it wrong.

I am pretty sure there are a lot of peeps at the x institute that could take hulk, especially as a team...
Dude you SSSOOOOO irritate me with your hulk-hating. I mean is there a bigger "knob-slobbing" wolverine fan on this great forum? Holy cow! Everything you say on the subject of Hulk is about as useful as boobs on a boar-hog. You are absolutely hopeless. WTF. I remember when Namor clocked wolverine in a one hitter-quitter punch and you were like "yeah, Namor needed a cheap shot to beat wolverine..." What a "adamantium knob-slobber". Are you serious with this quote? Or are you just that close minded?

You do know he's been banned, right?

He'll be back. under a different name. At least......that's what I would do. :o

So I'm thinking that Hulk will eventually lose this war. I love the Hulk and kinda consider myself a Hulk fanboy but I dont see him winning this. Dont get me wrong he and his troops are gonna kick a lot of ass, but the kinda way Hulk wants to win would indicate a total transformation of what the 616 universe is, it would also make everything that Marvel has done with the Civil War and the 50 State Iniative irrelevent. I mean really, how bad would that look if Earth lost, specifically America, the Registration/Initiative would seem like a total failure, and I doubt that Marvel would do that. I personally see Marvel keeping the Registraion/Initiative around for a very long time, most likely permanent, with some tweaks here and there over the years but it will always be there. I think America and the Initiative will win this War, eventhough there with a plenty of lose and destruction they will win. Thats just my opinion though.

Finally! Shoulda banned him months ago.

And I had just gotten him to admit that his attitudes towards smaller press comics was wrong. There was much I could've taught the young Padawan.

What's funny is the reason they banned him was pretty tame. He cluttered the forums with his horrible threads, spam posts and he harassing people from forum to forum, and it's all cool.

But when he disagreed with a mod about something in the Rasslin' forum, they booted him. Or so I hear. :whatever:

Damn what happened? I guess it happened when my computer was down, my bad. Oh well, but back on the subject.... I heard that Pak said that the Initiative will be the major factor in what happens. I love Hulk, I always have always will. This is by far the most entertaining story about Hulk in like forever. BUt eventually I think that he will give it up. I don't see anybody stopping him. It has been said that Sentry's calming effect on Hulk will NOT work in this story, because this Hulk isn't stupid. He is a strategist, and I'm sure that thing he's wearing around his head is probably got something to do with nullifying effect on Sentry's ability. The one guy I'm worried about is probably Ghost Rider and a Iron Man that is willing to pull all the punches. We haven't seen this Tony EVER! This isn't Cap (a person that he later admitted he was pulling back on) this is a person that I feel Tony DID try to kill (no matter what anybody else says, I thikn he knew the dangers of having Bruce around and he had exhausted all efforts and the ships charges were the finale). Alot of people don't like this Tony, but I personally do. He is willing to accept all the hate that people are throwing his way just to do what he feels is right. Even if that means going against his best friend and comrade (cap).

Yeah, except all of those feats of strength are mind-numbingly stupid. God, they're stupuid.

Exactly. Mind-numbingly stupid feats are the Hulk's stock in trade. If someone says "That makes no sense in any way, shape, or form!" Hulk just goes "things making sense makes Hulk ANGRY" and then like, defeats Galactus by punching reality until Galactus doesn't exist any more. Or whatever.

Hulk should have no defense against Dr. Strange. None whatsoever. A billion puppies will die the day that Hulk manages to beat Strange with his one single offensive superpower of punching things really hard. Except that for this story to work, he has to be a huge threat to Strange. Same for Iron Man and Reed, who now collectively lead SHIELD and nearly every single superhuman in the country. Same for Black Bolt, ruler of an entire race and whose focused power could shatter reality. I understand that Hulk possesses unimaginable power, and I understand that he's more pissed now than he's ever been before. But am I just not understanding where his Big Threat here is really so formidable and awe-inspiring to these people?

He's going to go up to Magic and punch it in the face. He will then turn around, glower menacingly at Science, and be like "*****, you want some too?" and Science will be like "NO SIR PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!"

You guys have any clue how it will end? Both the Hulk and Iron Man movies come out next year so chance of either of them "dying" is slim. I can't see the Hulk walking around the planet like he use to with the SHRA around.

Hulk ultra-pwnzorz everybody and then Tony Stark goes "oh well you beating up the whole world makes me realize what a jerk I've been. Sorry." And then Bruce Banner is all like "Aw, let's not be mad no more." And then everybody hugs.

And then Tony is like "I sent you into space because the pain of loving you was too much to bear." And then Bruce reaches for Tony's Iron Man.

The End.

I fear about WWH myself only because it is going to be incredible biased in favor of the Hulk. He will probably beat people he has no business beating. The hulk fanboys will have wet dreams. Lets be honest Dr. Strange, Sentry, SS, Thor and a few others can make Hulk cry like a little beyoootch from the whipping each would give him.

Well.......not exactly. Historically, Thor has been Hulk's whooping boy for awhile. I haven't known him to go up against SS to often but most of the time, it comes up even. Dr. Strange? you are right, Hulk should have no defense against him but Strange has a weakness, his guilty heart. Knowing he was in the Illumaniti that sent Hulk to space, even though he disagreed, would kind of make him not want to get involved or seriously hold his punches. Sentry is unstable and I think that before this is all said and done, there's a chance we could see the Void, which hasn't been said before......I don't think anyway.

Plus Hulk ain't exactly coming at them as a mindless brute. He's got a plan, and troops. Strange is powerful, but there is a way to beat him. Hell, a thief recently busted a cap in his ass with Hitler's gun. Just goes to show you how planning ahead can often times help you overcome the greatest of obstacles.

He just has to find a katana and a ninja

.

I left that out because we don't really know what actually went down yet. Was it an illusion? Part of some plan to fool the Hand? Who knows.

I read that crap in New Avengers. That was kind of crazy. The way they are portraying Strange it seems like a teenager with spider like powers can beat him.

I wouldn't say that. He showed some pretty good power levels in the first two issues, he just managed to get stabbed, and again, we don't know the circumstances behind that yet. Once we do though, and it doesn't turn out to be an illusion or, I don't know, a sword that used to belong to some Oni demon or something, then I'll be there to b***h and moan along side you guys. Until then, I'm reserving my judgement.

He's shown oddly. Bendis said that he's going to basically downplay Strange's power, but does a respectable job of having his status of Sorcerer Supreme basically trumping anything and everything.

But in all truth, this isn't the first time we've seen Strange get taken down by conventional means, especially ones he doesn't see coming.

Now, if it were SPIDER MAN who had this done to him, I'd be more upset.

I figure they've already got rid of all the villains in favor of just having the heroes fight each other all the time, the next logical step is to get rid of all the female romantic interests and have the heroes all just be gay for each other.

Strange does get taken down in lame ways a lot, but at least they usually have some explanation. Like in the recent mini by Vaughan, Strange almost died from a gunshot wound, but it was from a magic gun that punched through his mystic defenses.

Well, Strange has like...no precognative senses, so it's not like anything that sneaks up on him, he'll know about, and since he's basically just above human in durability, I wouldn't say it's THAT bad to have him taken down by someone he didn't see coming.

His aura of protection has been depicted in the past as omnipresent. He needs to summon shields to stop more powerful attacks, but for all intents and purposes he should be treated as wearing invisible armor at all times.

Besides...a roomful of ninjas with swords, and he doesn't expect a ninja with a sword to at least try to stab him?
