That's the teenage Namor though...Not a fan of that one.I want to see the big, manly Namor. I don't think Gerard Butler is right though, despite the body (which he just proved anybody can get a hold of with that amazing transformation anyway)...You know what's a left feild choice who I think would kick ass as Namor? Clive Owen.

...That and I dream of the day this guy meets with Ioan's Mr. Fantastic and compete for Sue.![]()
Ok forget any wrestlers for this role. Give me a break. This is the lead role in a huge franchise of at least 3 films which in scope will be on scale with something like Lord of the Rings. The last thing we need is some steroid non-acting goof from professional wrestling (LOL at Professional) to take this franchise over. Even the talk of The Rock doing this makes me sick. He's a personality...not an actor. Also some people tend to remember actors in their prime when they were younger and suggest casting them for the role. Many who have not aged well.
I agree with you all the way but I just don't see Batista as Namor.

1. Steroids have been banned by the WWE since the '80s.

How about Ian Somerhalder? He played Boone on lost. He has the face for it. He's just have to buff up some.

I saw that issue aswell. He'd be a great choice. WIZARD magazine even suggested him for the role.
He was one of the main reasons i watched the pulse remake that and Kristen Bell.Ah. That's his name. Was looking for this one. Yeah, he would make a GREAT Namor and he's probably who they'd go with, realisticly speaking and looking at the F4 cast.![]()
t:I don't know. They have a director attached who reportedly was turning in his version of the script. And if the rights reverted to Marvel they won't be able to use the script everyone was praising.I'm gonna assume Universal lost the rights to Marvel. They can't just hold them forever and per Marvel 4 years is the maximum allowed under any contracts. Uni has had these rights too long. They'll slip back to Marvel and Namor will be added to the Merrill facility like The Hulk and Iron Man. Maybe we'll get a Defenders movie someday.

Marvel could always get the script in exchange for Uni maintaining the distribution rights.
