Wow. Well it's your opinion, dude. I guess if Christian Bale became a wrestler all his acting talent would be sucked out of him.
No the reverse does not apply. He's already an actor and good at it. Now if an up and coming actor decided to try wrestling...he would by default lose all of his crediblity and acting ability. LOL The Rock is simply a personality. He's not an actor. Schwarzanegger was also a personality however he had charsima and he was likeable which is why all of his films topped the box office with few exceptions. He wasn't ever phony or plastic like Dwayne. The Rock has NOT proven himself a draw at the box office at all. Of course I'm bias because I think Wrestling is a complete joke with a bunch of clowns on steroids running around in tights pretending to hurt each other and they like to yell loud at the camera. The Rock's a good looking guy and he is popular so he'll have no problems getting high profile jobs but he's no actor even though IMDB labels him as one. By the way why does he still call himself The Rock. What an ass. "Don't call me Dwayne! I'm The Rock! Hence I can raise an eyebrow! Fear me!"
Well I'm just going to take that up with your bias against wrestling (even though pretending to hit each other and yell is exactly what action stars do but I won't get into the double standards with that one). Fact is you don't like wrestling, therefor wrestlers cannot act. Gotcha.![]()
About a decade ago I would have laughed at the person that told me Jim Carrey can do drama and thriller movies.
"300" and "Lost"'s Rodrigo Santoro for SUB-MARINER all the way. He's just a bit exotic/alien enough to play him without looking too wierd or gay. With those diva eyebrows that Sub-Mariner has, Rodrigo pulled it off as tough and intimidating in "300," instead of a flamboyant, flaming diva. Isn't his Xerxes character from "300" similar to Sub-Mariner - a half-naked, intimidating, stubbern king?

My only problem is his size. He's not exactly the most graceful looking. It can work though. Namor has been drawn buff at times.
Me either -I can't exactly see him being all that graceful in the water somehow.
No bodybuilders or wrestlers for Namor, please!!! - All the role requires is a good actor who has a decent build already onto which he can pack some quality muscle and yet still look lithe enough to convince the audience that he could actually move through the water faster than a sperm whale.
Not too much to ask is it?

MEANWHILE: Is Boreanaz starring in "Jurassic Park 4"? It's been reported, but when asked about it, he laughs and says, "That would be nice. I don't know when I would do that, but I believe in the power of belief, so why not?" And as for reports that he'll play Marvel Comics character Namor in a film called "Sub-Mariner," he says, "I haven't tried on the Speedos quite yet. I did do the voice of The Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, for 'Justice League: the New Frontier'" -- the forthcoming animated D.C. Comics film. "That's something I'd really like to go for if they did it as a live action film."
wait... are we sure hes talking about Sub Mariner there and not the Green Lantern?
What about... Cliff Curtis (The Fountain, Sunshine, Live Free or Die Hard) as Namor?
