The Dark Knight Rises Nathan Jones for Killer Croc (Waylan Jones)?!!?

IF Killer Croc should be in a Nolan Batman film, should Nathan Jones get the role?

  • 100% absolutely, Croc’s last name is even "Jones"! Perfect choice.

  • May be ok, but lets check out other actors too.

  • Jones is an untalented Meathead, but so is Killer Croc so he still works fine for the role.

  • “Blech-Barf!!” no way, Killer Croc should be played by Nick Stahl and that’s it!

Poll options are really bad.. :down

You mean Bruce Banner

:funny:

I believe Nolan or other directors can make Killer Croc realistic.
Now, it's true that we dont need Oscar Winner actor to play Killer Croc, but going from Heath Ledger to Nathan Jones would be a real letdown.

Check Gotham Knight.. they made a nice, more realistic (:whatever:) Killer Croc

Some people say Killer Croc is too "unrealistic" but I disagree.
Killer Croc is a guy who has skin disease that makes him look like a crocodile.
I don't know why this makes him so "unrealistic".

Besides, we've yet to have a memorable action scene between Batman and a villain.
"Batman vs. Killer Croc", I think this alone will buy many tickets from the fans.

Have you seen him in Batman: Gotham Knight..?

In Darkness Dwells (Madhouse)

Written by David S. Goyer. The police respond to a riot in a cathedral where Cardinal O'Fallon was giving a sermon. According to eyewitness testimony, the Cardinal was abducted by a large lizard-monster and taken down into the crypts below the cathedral. Lieutenant Gordon, Crispus Allen, and Anna Ramirez investigate; Gordon has a brief conversation with Batman, who agrees with Gordon's theory that the Scarecrow's fear toxin is behind the riot as the doctor has been at large since the riot at the Narrows (during the event of Batman Begins). Batman gives Gordon an earpiece that will allow them to stay in contact and descends below ground, trying to find Cardinal O'Fallon and his abductor. A homeless man living in an abandoned subway station identifies the abductor as Killer Croc. Batman and Gordon briefly discuss the villain's past, but are cut off when Killer Croc himself shows up, under the influence of the fear toxin, and attacks Batman. Batman defeats him, but not before sustaining a bite that transfers some of the toxin to him. He then finds Cardinal O'Fallon being put on trial and sentenced to death by the Scarecrow, who is unhappy with O'Fallon's efforts to help the homeless. Batman leaps in to defend the Cardinal. Using the methane already present in the room, he sparks an explosion that destroys several water pipes, flooding the area and allowing him to escape with the Cardinal. Gordon appears in a helicopter to retrieve the Cardinal and offers to help Batman as well, but Batman refuses, saying, "Maybe next time."

But yeah, he's basically someone with a skin condition and all that.

Epidermolytic Hyperkeratosis.. say that fast

Wonderful Idea!

Bane however must be portrayed by an actor of high caliber as he is very deep and cerebral in the comics. In fact he is probably the only villain besides Raz who can beat him both physically and emotionally. The Joker just mind ****s people...

If ya going to make a poll, please put "Other" as an option. What if, like me, someone doesn't like any of the choices.

Plus he's a surprisingly decent actor.

Word, if he's good enough to be seriously considered to share a couple of scenes with the No. 2 in the cast he's at least good enough to share a couple of scenes in make up with the GCPD.

Yes I know you were joking but it was a serious suggestion and I didn't want anyone getting confused

They should only use Croc after Nolan is done.

Unless Nolan wants to use him, of course.

Del Toro could make him work on screen.

Nah, I'd prefer Javier Bardem for Bane; as far as Croc goes, I definatly see many possibilities of him finally being on the big screen. Just not too sure for Nathan Jones playing him though. :brucebat:

Absolutely.

If you read over my first post in the thread I was not describing him as a human/croc hybrid mutant at all.

More like a very massive/powerful bad guy with a callusing skin dissorder, earning him the title the "Killer Croc". That is not so unrealistic. Pretty much a giant Australian hitman, who eats parts of his victims as well. I would never have intended an over sized cross of Dundee and Hannibal to be a ninja turtle reject.

I would be the first person to protest if they went with an actual mutant crocodile/human idea.

I just wanted to see a realistic version of a long time Batman Villain, and that would discount the unrealistic version.

Keep in mind that Killer Croc is not as consistent as a character as say, the Joker, so you have a lot more wiggle room with creative changes. My suggestion making him an Australian as well is an example of that, and would also be part of the reason for the nickname "killer Croc" as he is Not supposed to be half crocodile the way I envision him.

Agreed. People forget the original version of Croc was just a large built man with a skin disease. And if you've ever seen someone with it, it can be quite disturbing. Visually, I think Croc could be interesting in the same way Harvey, Joker & Crane were, maybe even more so. The problem would be, making him a compelling enough figure in the actual story, outside of just being the big scary man. Nolan I'm sure could make some changes to make that part of him better, but I still would only want him as a secondary villain

Oh good :oldrazz: I thought that since you didn't quote the smilie, you didn't like my comment :hehe:

"While that was one of the better parts of the dvd, that's just not Killer Croc."
O, so because that's not how it is in the comics, that's not how it is huh? That's shallow, I applaude people for giving their own creative interpretations on characters, I just wish the other comic fans like yourself would do the same.

Nathan Jones, no, not as Croc, maybe as Bane. It is so hard to cast big guy roles because they're all either famous people (which you don't want) or their untalented nobodies. Casting normal sized people is good because you just have to get the specifics like skin and hair color, and just find a good actor, he doesn't have to match exact. With big people though, you really have to get an enormous muscular person.

Sorry, got a little excited and double posted, someone plese delete this.
