New Dana Davis Interview - Monica is done!

PW: I loved Monica's power - the ability to mimic any behavior - whose was your favorite?
Dana: I am in love with Hiro's power, but mine was definitely the most fun. Like the other actors just close their eyes to demonstrate their powers, I got to run and jump and it was amazing.

PW: The last we saw Monica, she had caused Niki (Ali Larter) to "die," when does the season premiere pick up?
Dana: We pick up right there.

PW: Do you play a large part in season three?
Dana: Well, I would just say to fans of Monica's, I don't want to disappoint them, but her storyline wraps up fairly quickly.

PW: Why?
Dana: "HEROES" didn't get the same critical or fan acclaim in season two, so I think the creators felt a lot of pressure because the ratings dropped and it wasn't nominated for any Emmys. And with the strike, I feel like the writers had a lot of time to sit around and think. They wanted to come back really strong and go back to what the show was in season one - less drama, more action. And they took it in a different direction that didn't really include Monica.

PW: That's terrible, I thought there was a lot of potential there.
Dana: Yeah, me too. I loved the character and I love the power - but I totally understand and it makes a lot of sense knowing where the story goes.

PW: And heroes return all the time - it's a small superpowered world!
Dana: Absolutely! Tim Kring [creator] and I have talked about that, you never know when I'll show up again!

Well that sucks, but at least they still have her in the back pocket to return at anytime.

Her and Elle were the best new charecters in season 2.
If anything get rid of annoying ass 'theres black liquid out of my eyes' Maya! Nobody liked her...and when I say nobody I mean it...I have yet to meet someone who liked her charecter. Monica was one of the good things and her powers were insanely awesome, how can they just let her go? And she would've been the first superpowered human on the show to actually become hardcore comic book-esque vigilante. -sigh-
Huge mistake on their part, huge. I just don't understand why they cut her instead of Maya?

Wow.... they keep totally missing the mark on who to remove from the Niki storyline. NIKI. Get rid of her.

First D.L. and now Monica who had almost no chance to show off what she could do.

It sucks, but its understandable with the way they are trying to streamline, and keep everything integral to the main plot at hand.

She only had one connection to the whole story, and now that connection is gone. I'd rather they just give a quick story that makes sense and wraps it up instead of dragging her story out, and it having no connection whatsoever to anything else.

I'm sure she'll be back, no one ever stays away for long on Heroes.

Compared to Maya "Oh gosh, when I cry, people die. I guess I better not cry. Oh no, too late" Hererra? Monica was pretty charismatic by compairison. Not to mention her power was pretty kickass.

Ugh, dont even joke about that. Aside from Maya, that may be one of the only things I didnt like about S2.

Monica was awesome a better character than Claire she is boring and her storyline hasn't interested me since early season 1. I don't like Niki either but Claire's character sucks even more than Maya and I hate Maya!!!
