New FF Set Reports Thread.

From Kristal’s Plethora of Thoughts (NO Spoilers):

December 4th, 2006

On another note, I’ve been on set for Fantastic 4 2: Rise of the Silver Surfer for a week now. It’s just background work, but hey, at this stage, money is money, and craft services is wonderful. The thing is, they’re night shoots, so we’re called at 6:30 pm and we wrap up between 5-6:30 am. Half the time, I don’t know what day or time it is anymore! And my sleep schedule is royally mucked up, which is grand.

Oh, speaking of F42, but also remembering that I’ve signed a confidentiality agreement, I can’t say anything about the movie, which is fine, but I did see Jessica Alba. See, I am very much a smile person. She did not smile. Off camera, that is. She would just walk right on by, which I can understand, but at the same time, I can’t. That disappointed me. Not very impressed

I think many times we expect too much from celeberties, or sports figures. They are human being like us. Subject to more pressure then we can imagine. I'm sure Jessica is a wounderfull women. Get here away from the cameras, and the pressure, and she would be great as we have seen. She has a lot on her plate right now. She's doing this movie, then she has another to do right after this one. And it may be that time of the month. I'm sure it doesn't take a vacation while she's shooting. So give her a break, and remember she has her good days, and bad days like everyone else. :yay:

LMAO, where does it say when you don't smile at someone you are having a bad day, or the other person should be disappointed. Damn, that young lady must live with alot of disappointment in her life if she expects everyone to smile at her.

I've already been disappointed beyond all measure today. I'm just gonna go home and go to bed.:cwink:

Hey apparently there are only two more weeks of principal photography left for the film. Everything seems to have gone on schedule. No wonder when winter said the editors had cut right up to photography they were thinking that they might be able to release a trailer. And also it seems like the special effects are really on the ball as winter is reported to have said in a post somewhere else on the boards.

Principal photography qupte and source:

" * Principal photography on Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is expected to last two more weeks."

It is under the paragraph titled briefly and is dated december 4th.

No question they are hopping on the spx as they go. They do not want another unfinished spx movie like the 1st one, when Story admitted the spx were not completed before the release date.

I'm sure you've been wondering, "where the hell is Kat?" And I will tell you. I was working at Giant Killer Robots on Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, but that job ended last week. My last day at GKR was Wednesday, the 29th; since then, I've been unemployed and loving it.

Hmmm, looking at the url I found this

Dan Cox .... digital artist: Giant Killer Robots

Is this significant guys, robots, doombots??? can I get anyone to bite and start one of those internet like rumors like we had with the sentinels over at Xmen, anyone?

I have seen them before. although when julian was asked about them he said they are femmebpts. LOL. They look cool.

They do the visual effects for The Human Torch

Looking at the list of special, and visual effects, looks like Giant Killer Robots, WETA, Spectrial Motion, and Film Illusions are involved. Too bad they couldn't get ILAM involved. Wow. Did not realize they have had their hands in 257 movies. :wow: Wonder what George Lucas would have charged Fox ?

Spectral Motion are doing some incredible work on the film in the way of practical FX, believe me. ;)

I'm also happy enough with the teams doing the VFX - ILAM really would be superfluous.

News seems to be a little slow but found this today from HNR, I thought the part about Ms Alba pulling his friends toque down was funny lol.

^^ been a little busy with some other things. They've been shooting pretty much every night for the last couple weeks, seems to be a heavy stunt oriented shoot with lots of cg stuff and fire. Theres a skinny guy running around head to toe in a greensuit. I've ran into my old highschool buddy working on it with Jessica Alba again, he was very tight lipped about what was being filmed, haha he even tried to tell me it was just another honda commercial, but that wasn't believable when Jessica came up behind him and pulled his toque down over his face lol.

Security is pretty tight, they have VPD blocking the streets and the PAs and the lighting crew have been shinning the spotlights into the public crowds when the cameras aren't rolling, I assume this is to cut down on picture taking? lol. The only reason why I got behind the baracades was because I work in the Bentall buildings and park in the parkade where they are filming. I had to show them my work pass and business card to get into the alley and parkade, which is where I ran into my buddy and Jessica.

Just found out that Doug Jones, who was supposed to finish some time this week, has had his finish date pushed back. Real bummer for me since I was hoping to see him again at next week's Pan's Labyrinth premier.

No, there wasn't ... somebody's telling fibs ... ;) Yes, unfortunately Doug's wrap date has been put back again and he'll be in Vancouver for a little while yet.

Perhaps it was another actor or character or some poor stuntman, they are working fire down there, maybe someone gets set on fire?

Possibly - fair point. But it wasn't the skinny guy, and certainly not in a green-screen suit. :D ;)

Vancouver Sun, today:

There are currently 33 productions listed on the B.C. Film Commission list, although many of them wrapped production this week, including the mega-budget Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, which finished shooting on the weekend.

So there officially done with shooting now? That was sooner then expected. It was mentione it would take to either the end of december or january. Well its not gonna be too long now before we see stuff come out now.

It could be they're done with the primary shooting and they still have the secondary shooting to do.
