New FF Set Reports Thread.

Stunt doubles, establishing background shots, group reactions, things that don't require the main actors to be there. Unfortunately, that doesn't let Dougie off the hook. He's still up there freezing what little butt he has off.

>^^<

They probably might need to main acots up there incase they need to do some touch up shots or reshoots.

You mean the main actors are done and the stunt doubles are gonna finish up now?
second unit is more than stunt work.

They could also have some studio stuff left. And they still have later pick up shots with the main actors.

It would be cool if the really are done with principle photography at this point. They should be on schedule if that's true and it's sort of cool that we haven't seen much, because there should be a lot of surprises.

Just a little over a week now, and we should start to see the fruits of their labor.:woot:

Yes only 10 days left. :yay:(should have been 3 but i can wait.:o )

I saw that people were asking about wrap dates etc. This is from Ralph (Winter):

We wrap 1st unit this week and second unit next week. Right on target –great footage – everyone is in good spirits. Just a few days left.

Watch for the trailer on Night at the Museum.

Well now that is finished into the production and edit room.

Not quite. Doug's wrap date has been put back again and he'll be filming for another couple of weeks yet. He's flying back down to L.A. on the 18th for the PAN'S LABYRINTH premiere, but flying back to Vancouver the same night to continue working on the movie.

This is indeed great news. :woot: They are done filming, now into the post production phase, and from what I have been able to gleam, they have been working on the spx as they we're finished filming each scene. So with 5 months to go till opening, this is indeed positive news. Think we'll get a great movie, with finished spx out the wazoo, and action a plenty. :woot: The public will gobble this one up. I have a felling Story will come out smelling like a rose on this one. Everything seams to have gone in the right direction. Hope so, so I can see those who were calling for his head on a platter after the 1st one, eat some crow. I got the pot warming up, got plenty of forks, and big bowles.:wow:

God I hope this movie is good and everybody loves it. I'm so weary from bickering and debating. :)

There was a great deal of postive vibes, flowing from the set of this movie. From the actors on down. Everybody seams to be upbeat, excited and positive. They are done early, which means they had less trouble then when the 1st one actually went over schedule. So I think this will be one hell of a sequel. Surfer, Doom, AND Galctus, all in one movie ? :woot: :wow: The screen will not be big enough. This has the makings of something epic in the comic to film industry. I was woundering who the hell Don Payne was, we may well know him after this movie. Payne is the sole credit for the story. No Frost in sight. This is his puppy. All his.

Very cool! I remember the first one was a mess. They had a lot of rain and shooting seemed to be going on beyond schedule eating up time and budget and forcing a real rush to get everything done in time (and not getting some things done they had hoped to).

I still wish they had more time, but if they're at least on schedule, more of the budget should appear on screen rather than being lost to administrative costs (and we should get more of what the film-makers intended rather than what they have to settle for).

Another pic of the Shanghai set taken on November 24.

They have NOT finished filming yet. Doug is not doing insert shots or second unit - the production is behind, but should hopefully wrap just before Christmas.

It would appear they are not done even principle filming yet, seems those wrap reports were wrong. From HNR:

Fantastic Four 2 will be filming tonight at Robson Square with Jessica Alba, then back to the Shanghai set Wednesday night.

Jessica was also spotted on Robson with her old Dark Angel co-star Jensen Ackles grabbing a bite as Jensen lives in Vancouver while his TV show Supernatural films here.

The wrap reports are wrong as Ralph Winter pointed out. They still have a little bit to do, not too much though.

Thanks for the update hypa!

And its cool to know she still hangs out with Her Dark Angel Co-Stars alot yet.

It matters not. Originally they were looking middle to late January before they were finished. So being done earley, before Christmas, is great news.

This movie has the potential to be epic in the comic to movie industry. I mean think about it. You have Dr. Doom, the greatest comic book villian ever, plus The Silver Surfer, PLUS Galctus all in the same movie. It does not get any more epic then that. And looking ahead to FF 3, my goodness, I can't imagine. :woot:

Is Galctus 100% confirmed yet for this one yet?

I think Galactus almost has to be confirmed for this one...think about it...the Surfer is here to prepare Earth for devouring...furthermore, it makes it sound like from what Tim Story said is that Doom challenges a major threat..he could be talking about the Surfer or he could be talking about Galactus..think about a cosmic powered Doom attacking Galactus....too cool for words and probably one of the ultimate geek moments for me....

I could see them doing a Pirates 2/Pirates 3 ending where Galactus shows up at the very end of 2 and goes directly into 3 where the F4 with a good Silver Surfer joining them in battle against his former master with Doom in the background....

Rothman said a while ago, Galctus will be seen in this movie. To what extent, or when is a question, but he will appear. I think it would be at the end, then have him full blown in 3. I don't think he will be fully revealed, but just the fact of him appearing is a big plus for the movie.
