Nice to read a positive piece on the sequel.

Heres 4 setpics and video of the FF2 Shanghai set in Vancouver.Nothing spoilerific.

From KelviNsan (Nov 25 2006):

Fantastic Four 2 filming DT, on Thurlow

They've been filming for a while now. Before they built a really nice set on the rooftop parkade. Heard its the new set for Fantastic Four 2.

In the past few weeks they built a replica Chinatown.. or just China, I dont know yet.

Go check it out before they tear it down! looks really detailed.. but dunno bout the authenticity.

Its on Thurlow, between Melville and Pender somewhere, not good with street names

More Fantastic Four shooting
They turned the alleyway under where they shot the wedding scenes into a Shanghai street (according to a workmate, that's what the signs say). It's really funny since the building the signs are on is a parkade.

Other than the inside of that beautiful theatre that maybe the insides of Doom's castle, has anyone seen or know if "Latveria" is actually going to be in this movie or is it all speculation?

Remember before they showed that second copter zipping around shooting the wedding scene? It's possible the camera's on that copter were being used as a perspective shot of the Silver Surfer or Doom zooming in for the aerial attack. It's not like they can use a crane and swing the cam like in spidey for flight scenes. So the copter must be zipping around in the path of the baddie as well as shooting the wedding scene from above.

Mmm, more product placement. Does Lexmark sell stuff in China, too?
Yes they do.

I also see some product placement for Channel V and a Coca Cola iPod (i think).

They did some filming in the Mount Seymour area some time ago.We speculated that that may have been Latverian scenes.

cool, seems like the success of FF has changed some people's view of the comic book movie

Mabey the critics will realize that fun is a good thing. Laughter is a great thing. Can't be so dame gum serious all the time. Fun, and campy are needed in todays world. An escape if you will for a few hours, and everyone need that once in a while. There is a difference between fun, and downright silliness. At time the 1st movie was fun, at some times it was down right silly. The sequel had to come up, and I think it will. We are going to have 1 hell of a sequel, and if not, then the blame this time lies at Story's step. I defended him to the hilt last time, no such thing this time. But I have faith in Payne, and Story to turn out one hell of a sequel. :woot:
