There's a lot of duplicates if you cut each square in fourths and look at them seperately...

We're well aware. Read the wiki page: http://batman.wikibruce.com/Be_Amazed

What I think we should be concerned about is wether or not the numbers or letters are the columns and rows.

I submit that we compare the number/letter pairs with coordinates. Latitude comes first, followed by longitude in coordinate pairs. From that, I'd guess that the numbers would be the rows and the letters would be the columns.

EDIT: I agree that because there are coordinates, it doesnt make much sense that we'd have to rearrange them. I think we just need to rotate them somehow. I'm at work now but will gladly help when I get home in about an hour.

see what we need is a graphic designer who can re-arrange them and see if it spells out anything of produces an easy to understand picture

Here is a black and white version if people want to print it out (without killing your color ink cartridge).

My two cents:

Herrings are red? The co-ordinates are red herrings, i.e. useless.

You haven't got a clue? Our one clue is the coordinates...we don't -have- a clue, so the coordinates are junk.

Assemble the puzzle. You can easily see that some pieces 'fit' with others, both in the big and small grids, we just need to start working on that.

Yes, but even in sequence they make no sense.

How about we cut each square into four, gather together those pieces and arrange THOSE to make a message.

Herrings are red
Corpses are blue
You're on the right track
But you don't have a clue

I say this is a red herring. We'll be amazed when we figure out how dumb we are for overlooking something simple.

i think the grid should be set up like a chess board...letters across and numbers up and down making the second grid correct...i also think that each square in the grid can be broken up into 4 individual pieces and can be arranged within that larger square only.....there is a reason why they are given those coordinates...what do you guys think?

Ah I am graphic designer, let me see what I can mix around with it.

this graphic designer doesn't see anything yet... been trying since this morning.

*turns stealth camo off*

Maybe it's a maze.

"To find the next sideshow, share these with your fellow goons. Then be amazed."

For anyone interested, and im sure you are, there are a ton of new pics/scans over in the spoilers section.

Guys this is NOT the first time Red Herring has appeared in the times.

There's no reason to believe this is a herring. THIS is the clue; if anything that Video was a herring.

Or the Bistro.

I definately think we should rearrange these to create a large easy to understand clue. I also think this is the clue that the Hahahatimes mentions.

Are they all repeatable squares/sections.....or are there any that appear only once?

What about arranging them this way instead...

Code:
6
5
4
3
2
1
 A B C D E F

That's what I'm thinking. There are plenty of repeats, but I've noticed there's a few pieces that show up only one.
Not sure if the frequency of pieces appearing matter or not...:whatever:

Double post. My bad.

But now that I'm editing anyway... Could the words from the Hahatimes have any connection?

I think that by the end of this night I'm going to really hate the colors purple and green.

Two thoughts.

1. It's a message with text.
2. It's a street map. Does anyone know where to find the bank on the map of Gotham? (Which goes along with the bag of stuff we saw get delivered to MTV)
