Or he's making sure that he doesn't cause unneeded negativity for Jonathan's sake, whom is passionate about the TMNT mythos for sure.

Which isn't a bad thing...

I don't know, Bay's pretty crass and cold when he wants to be. I like some of his stuff, but tact isn't really his bag. Then again, you might be right. Director Bay might be different than Producer Bay and he might not want to just toss a director off of a project or create a hostile work environment.

:hehe: Maybe. It's also possible they're going with something like this...

Also, what do you guys think of these designs...

They look like Tweenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lol

You have no idea how little I want Usagi Yojimbo anywhere near this.

Are you afraid of what they might do with him?

Asian American actor with a rabbit foot hanging around his neck.

raciest, crude tweener humour?

Mikey- What's crackin April?

Makes sense.

Pro's and cons

Title was too long anyways. When people go to the theater they'll just say "One for Ninja Turtles"

the very thought of that

this very reason is why I like my " turtles are a part of a mutant slave race krang created" idea is good because it can work in every single anthropomorphic creature in the turtles universe

Character design wise I like these. I like the proportions of the characters, mostly. I especially like the Gator guy, forgot his name, and Bebop and Rockstedy. I like how they look like animals turned to humans with their shorter arms and being bigger or smaller than the next character because of what animals they are. I like most of the designs, but I don't like most of the costumes personally. They aren't bad costume designs, they to me just aren't the characters. The turtles should wear similar costumes as they had in the comic/cartoon/and movies. But I like the designs.

its kinda weird to see Bebop and Rocksteady wearing ancient Japanese attire where as Leatherhead, Casey and April are modern.

Funky thing, those proportions. The turtles are pretty damn big for red-eared sliders.

I'd put Beebop and Rocksteady in different costumes, but if they had body types (looked like the drawings brought to life) in the movie it would be cool. same with Leatherhead.

Interesting redesigns. But no, the Turtles don't need more clothes. I'm fine with the shin guards, but the chest pieces and capes are unnecessary. Also, no on unique face masks. Splinter and Shredder and the second Usagi look good. I don't like the Foot Soldier with the hat, but the other is ok, I'd just what them to have long sleeves. I really like Casey, especially his little custom logo on his chest. April looks too much like a hipster. Her hair looks stupid and, god, her pants. Is she waiting for a flood? I guess it words if she's wonderiing around in a sewer. Also, I bet she's holding a Mac, uh. Big NO on Leatherhead, Bebop, and Rocksteady.

According to the io9 post, the last pic is Usagi, Gennosuke, and Zato-Ino.

Yeah, I saw that too. I definately don't want a Bebop and Rocksteady stand-in.

Posted this a while back, but figured I'd repeat myself while things are more active here. Giancarlo Esposito for Baxter Stockman:

Some of us were fans growing up. I love the original live action film and have been hoping we'd see them back in that form again some day. Also
there have been numerous things over the years such as different cartoons , art , comics , and the cgi film that keep them somewhat relevant.
I was a huge fan of it while I was growing up and I even watched the newer cartoon and the CGI film, I just have grown out of it though. Nothing wrong with people still loving it but that's just me.

Love Splinter in the artwork, and it was cool to see Musashi Usagi. I doubt he would be in any future turtles movies though. He has his own story.

Woah the artwork is actually...pretty cool looking! The turtle designs are pretty sweet, but can we please not have them as aliens?

Ive read the reviews for Liesbman's Wrath of the Titans and so far it's been mixed (Not negative though; consensus is that it is better than the first.) At least the action and creature design are getting praised!

Now I'm thinking that Liesbman is a journeyman director in denial. Ninja Turtles will solely rest on the screenplay and luckily they nabbed some great writers.
