i thought he was vague. did he directly come out and say they are not aliens?

No but I think his reassurance is quite soothing:
The characters you all remember are exactly the same, and yes they still act like teenagers. Everything you remember, why you liked the characters, is in the movie.

Jonathan the director, is a major fan of the whole franchise. HE'S NOT GOING TO LET YOU DOWN.

i'm still worried but cautiously optomistic, like i said i am not seeing it in theaters or buying the dvd but i will DVR it maybe even rent it on pay per view

they haven't cast or shot a thing or heard any definitive script details or plot points yet you are practically boycotting the movie:dry:

Maybe he/she just doesn't want to see a 'kid's film' in the theatre :D

Jonathan also said that Bay's statement was "out of context" and I hope that Bay will explain the "context" that it was meant to be said in..

I think he shouldn't say anything from now on.

^ Yeah Bay isn't helping at all by running his mouth

how's that judgmental attitude

by the way how is paying to watch a movie on pay per view boycotting it I don't go to theaters much anyway i want to be able to pause the movie so I can go pee and not miss anything or sitting in a uncomfortable seat for 2 hours on top of dealing with 20 a-holes texting their ******ed girlfriends

I am also not seeing spiderman or TDKR in theaters those are going to wait for DVD and blu-ray

I think he assumed that was your reasoning since 9 times out of 10, anyone who refuses to see a movie in theater states such things because they're angry fanboys who are trying to stick it to da' man for "ruining" whatever franchise the movie happens to be. People choosing to NOT see a film in theaters (especially around here) simply for the reasons you stated are few and far between. Most people consider seeing a film in theaters to be a far superior experience than watching at home. Don't take his interpretation personal (I assumed that was your reasoning as well).

being 6'5 it starts to get cramped in theater seats and the one theater by me that is ok is a "fork and screen" theater which has these awesome recliners but the tickets are expensive

but even then i like watching at home for control of the movie and subtitles i can eat or drink whatever i want plus i can smoke a little reefer as well, its simply a comfort thing

Yea I hate being 6'6. Big pain in the ass at the theater it is.

i abosolutley have to sit in the end seat so i can stretch my leg into the aisle

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Bay have a thing about lying to keep fans on their toes? I vaguely remember hearing something like this during the filming of the Transformer movies.

So I saw TMNT 2: Secret of the Ozze:

While I did like Donnie's arc, the tone is incredibly different from the first one to the point where it's kinda jarring. Also, it feels cheaper than the first one for some odd reason. I think the production design isn't as good as the first one. I also miss Judith as April and Casey Jones.

I'm right there with ya. I'm 6'5" as well and theater seats SUCK when you're a big dude. Unfortunately I love seeing films on the big screen so I suffer through the discomfort.

mexicans are referred to as Aliens right?
Bay never said anything about extraterrestrial or space did he???

i like some peoples hopes of the ooze being alien (from space) material, like Venom was in SM3

but maybe the "out of context" is that you see Bay, who did Transformers, working with alien beings there, having connection to this project and thinking it is similar,

maybe the context of alien he meant was that they are going to be alienated by all... you know, i dunno... i'm rambling...

It had twice the budget as the first!

I watched TMNT: The Movie with my son. I love the tone, and over all I still think that movie is kick ass. The wackiness of the cartoon series is there a bit more than I'd like but overall that film is a pretty solid adaptation of the very first issue of TMNT and the issues that led into and include Return to New York.

Everybody on here is 6'5, huh? :o

Gotta watch that flick again, soon. It was one of the first movies I saw in the theatre.

Watched the first flick not too long ago. Surprisingly, it still holds up well.

It's pretty fun, they didn't water down Shredder or make the turtles less ninja like, or keep April the always D.i.D

I wonder if the new movie will be superior to the third movie to those who strongly dislike the latter

turtles 3 wasn't a complete crap fest

hell it was better than TF3: DOTM
