Sai's!!! :D

Those are some pretty weapons. They're much cleaner than I expected. I thought they'd have a worn, weathered look to them. They are very cool either way and I love the red handles to them.

This picture does beg the question of whether we'll see the Turtle actors have actual weapons on set or if the practicals are only for scenes where the human actors are interacting with them.

and we may have an explanation

Time Square, much like the Southbank in London, is full of people dressed up as kids characters in order to sell pictures to tourists. Several NickToon characters like Spongebob, Patrick and Dora The Explorer were on set, and it seems to be the film’s way of explaining how Raphael could be moving around overground, somewhat undetected.

Wow, the turtles are going to be HUGE in height compared to April (in most cannon she has always been taller; the turtles usually around 5 feet). Though I'm not complaining. At this height they'll definitely be a lot more intimidating. But seriously they've gotta do something about those shells. Did I mention I like this pic? Dare I say, it's cute.

I doubt they're going to be taller than her, the actors are just normal height. None of the turtles are ever taller than like 5'2.

you'd be able to tell how tall they will be if there is a pic of them looking at each other...if Megan looks at the actor's eyes then they will be that height

judging off the pics I have seen I think they are going to be that tall....going off the last pic with her standing next to him her body language seems to indicate that he is going to be that tall

This and if you watch the set videos, you'll see that Megan, as well as a kid who appears and talks to Raph, is looking up at Raph.

The actor's real heights are likely being used. I don't care though. I love tall Turtles. It's one of the things I loved about the TMNT movie and the 2003 series.

i agree with this and edited my post

See here's the thing.

Though I originally thought they might shrink them, I think that they will be that big on screen, though more proportional/symmetric as far as the shells' design itself goes.

In the original script, the Turtles did a "trick" of sorts during while fighting and they would suck there arms and legs in and use their shells offensively and defensively (I.E. Raph sucked his arms and legs in and threw himself at a foot soldier; Mikey sucked his in and used his shell to flip a humvee). Also, Their shells were bulletproof.

Except in the Archie Universe. They were all 5'8

I'm really hoping Alan is able to have a NY accent, doubt it though.

^ Hmm, well if Michelangelo is without his surfer accent (which seems to have been revealed in a set video) I doubt Raph will have his signature Lower East accent. Which doesn't exactly appear to be canon in the comics or most of the television series anyway; looks like it stems mostly from the original films.

I would be soooooo happy if they dropped the whole surfer dude accent with all the surfer type catch phrases and the pizza eating.....i will die happy if i never have to hear cowabunga again

I know the original script got bad reviews and the director doesn't inspire confidence, but these set pics are getting me excited.

^ Totally agree. I was really hating on this movie not too long ago, basically from the time Bay was announced as the producer until Fox was cast as April. I'm not saying this movie is going to be good. In fact, these set videos don't prove anything, but they certainly don't look bad. The motion capture suits look pretty sweet and finally seeing the turtles in action (even if they're not in action) has me revved up.

Roach - I can live without the cowabunga, and the new booyakasha phrase in the Nick series. But, dammit they better incorporate the pizza. That's sacrilege without it! ;)

I think the voices will be more realistic, but you gotta realize that these actors all grew up with TMNT. So I wouldn't be surprised if he even brought it up to the director.

Just like how Mikey sounding like a Califorinian is a staple of that character. Sure it's, the later incarnations tamed down the Spipoli/Surfer dialect, but still very Southern Californian.

thanks for the link. i think this can work. :yay:

Time Square is just like Hollywood. While it's fun to see a poorly custom-made Spongebob walking around the Mann's Chinese Theater, he and his buddies make the area kinda..trashy.

in the footage where they filmed the Ralph actor moved his body like a norma human. i was hoping for some exaggerated movement. its afterall motion capture

Same. I'm kind of annoyed with myself that I'm become cautiously excited about the film.
