Yeah but Casey was never much of a presence in the animated shows (exception being 4Kids) so I wasn't too surprised. Especially since this new series which I do love is as much Fred Wolf inspired as it is inspired by other Turtles media.

But with the IDW series having Casey there from the beginning as well as it being tradition both in film and in the mirage comics to have him there from the start it kinda sucks.

This is their real big reintroduction to the mainstream and I'd like to see them go all out with it in case it doesn't do well enough to warrant a sequel. So Casey would be very welcome.

Hulk movies not including Rick Jones are enjoyable as they are, (as much as I hope to see Rick in one in the future) I might take this movie as it is if it doesn't include Casey

the arm bands are there to let the CGI artist know which Turtle they are animating.

yes its a cue to the CGI artist that this character gets this CGI overlay. It would get confusing if the turtles are required to drop their weapons or their faces arent seen.

it would make no sesne to dress a character that is gonna be a CGI character...just like Andy Serkis didnt wear Golum's loincloth

Using the Sai length as reference we can tell that they're made for the actor's arm size. So that will probably be the turtles overall size, probably bulk them up a little bit.

yeah that's what i thought too, in post production they will add some more muscle to them especially Noel and Jeremy lol

they are shadow balls...for lack of a better name...the CGI artist uses the balls to see how light and shadow falls on an object...then they can replicate that on the CGI image...in this case the turtle

This. They may have him in the familiar trenchcoat disguise after the CG is added but for now, its questionable.
