That's a non-issue. Foxverse X-men are out of synch with their own movies when it comes to continuity. There's no way in hell it would fit in the mcu. It will be a much needed clean slate.

X-Men comics are out of synch with their own books when it comes to continuity. There's no way in hell it fits into the Marvel comics. There actually needs to be a much needed clean slate.
 
How so? I haven't been paying attention to the comics in recent years.

It’s terrible on multiple accounts and the o5 are symptomatic of the worst reasons why. I could get into a big post about it, but I just meant to say that bad continuity may be the most comic accurate thing about ruse movies
 
No i think Slugzilla said she probably wouldn't be in an apparent showing up in X-Force with the other New Mutants.
 
I'm not sure Ilyana should be in X-Force. I'm also not sure the New Mutants should be (obviously, if Cannonball is, I won't complain, but my preference is to replace him with NTW).
 
Best move would have been to leave New Mutants in a post Logan future. '

But now that Fox is giving X-Men up, if I were Marvel, I would hold on to some of these actors and keep them as the younglings of the X-Men world. For example, Magik is supposed to be Colossus' younger sister and gets along with his girlfriend Kitty Pryde who could potentially be one of the main younger members as well. If holding on to them is impossible, I would seriously considering rehiring Maisie Williams and Anya Taylor Joy. :p

Williams at least is getting pretty good at the action stuff. Here's a GOT Season 7 clip. I remember going whoa watching her get back up at 2:19

With regard to New Mutants, Kinberg confirmed the film has gone into reshoots largely in order to make the film scarier. Referencing positive responses to the film's trailer, Kinberg said, "audiences really embraced the notion of a superhero movie or a comic book movie that was, in its core, a horror film."

Wait, so Fox delayed Dark Phoenix, a movie that is essentially finished till June? Why on earth would they do such a thing? Hmm.... Makes you wonder what's going on....
 
Now I'm really wondering if the trailer team were having a laugh.

I thought it was funny, but some have theorised that some of the leaks could actually be studio organised, that the studio could be sabotaging Dark Phoenix like they did The Last Stand.
 
Here's a quick update for you guys & gals... Gambit, Multiple Man, & X-Force are all dead in the water, despite what you're being told by Kinberg and others.

New Mutants won't see theatrical release either, but there has been a renewed push at Fox to convince House Mouse to explore different platforms where it could potentially see the light of day.

We really wish that JB hadn't gotten his hands on it... It could've been bleeping epic.

Nothing particularly substantial. It's basically the last hurrah for the Fox X-films, I haven't seen it yet, but I can't imagine the reshoots have done enough to make it a good movie, much less a worthy sendoff for the X-Films. However, when I do see it I'm going to go in with an open mind, after all, anything's possible. Not likely, but possible.
