Nope. Looks like a bizarre version of the New Mutants comics.
@slugzilla someone send me this a while ago and I wonder if u saw the trailer itself.
I just want to see Illyana already. I can't wait anymore! This is an exciting time to be a fan of the New Mutants. Regardless of how the movie sees release, I would encourage anyone who is a fan of the characters to forget about any prejudices they may have regarding the studio, the delays, casting, the backstage drama, etc and give the movie a shot. While it wasn't my cup of tea, you might just enjoy it.

Have personally met him and Knate at CCXP and don't get it the hate (I mean I wasn't on set so I can't say I've met this version of Josh) but he describing the movie to me and the love he has for the characters. The comics that he have Anya to read (I've asked alot about Anya to them lol) Alice also told me how passionate he is for this project.I decided that If I'm being completely honest with myself I suspect that after all of the negative things my circle experienced with Josh Boone that we're all probably heavily jaded & biased against him and the movie.
This is why I am now suggesting that you guys give it a shot. It will be a different experience for you than it was for me.
I will watch it as I watch every live action Marvel film/tv show.If you don't at least consider giving it a shot you'll be missing out on the only New Mutants movie ever made. I have been and remain one of the harshest critics of the movie, and yet despite that, I am still suggesting people give it a try. You might really like it. Opinions are subjective and just because me and my friends didn't enjoy it doesn't mean you won't. I really hope you consider it my friend.

I really hope this is just a behind the scenes and marketing misunderstanding! I get that it was very problematic and that the first trailer did not sell the movie what really is but I hope we all can watch it and enjoy for what it is (and even If some of us don't like we also can respect the diferents opinions on it.)
Sorry my bad English.

We live in a weird time where expectations for comic book movies are through the roof. But there's still a joy in seeing your favorite characters on screen regardless of the quality. I mean, I was able to find some joy in the Inhumans TV show. I expect I'll be able to find some joy in this movie as well. This is an exciting time to be a fan of the New Mutants. Being honest, it's sad to hear all of that! But apart of that I know I'll enjoy Illyana’s scenes and probably all the cast. The version of Boone that we came to know on set was not the same person that you and many others have described. On set it seemed that when it came to dealing with individuals whom I suspect he considered to be "beneath him" he was abusive, cruel, petty, etc.
I once witnessed him just yelling at, verbally destroying this girl that I think was with catering one day and it was just painful to watch. She looked like she was just out of highschool and he brought her to tears, bawling before she got fired. He had his days where he was okay too, but they were few and far between. A formal complaint was filed against him by a few of us, which only resulted in those individuals being fired. It was not a great work environment to say the least.
I am not sure why there is such a discrepancy between the JB we worked with and the JB that has been described to me as being a generally nice guy. Some of us speculated that he might have been on something during the production, IDK.
And for someone who claimed to be a big New Mutants fan, he also seemed to know very little about the characters. One example that always sticks out in my mind was this one occasion in which there was a discussion about what sort of "Easter eggs" were going to be in the movie, and someone suggested that "Nova Roma" get name dropped. Well JB had no earthly idea what that would have been a reference to. And then, on the spot someone had to explain to him who Magma was. That was a real wakeup call.
This is why I have had such a low opinion of Boone.
Knate & the cast on the other hand seemed like genuinely nice people.
And for the record your English is fine.
I obviously don't have access to their contracts or the settlement agreement, but this seems very unlikely based on my knowledge of the law.
Is the movie so bad?Good, I hope you'll enjoy it.
IP and contract law in the United States. Some of it is Federal. The rest I have some knowledge of my state's law and the rest is sort of a generic American common law. This isn't my field so I'm hardly an expert, but I've certainly had at least some education that gives me a leg up over blatant speculation. What law is this?

If you think the film is bad and the reaction to the test screenings were bad.... just imagine how fans and critics would react.Everyone who I've seen the movie with didn't have much of anything positive to say about it. But, the people that I have seen it with were all involved in the production, & if they're anything like me they probably came in with some negative vibes & anti-Boone bias to begin with.
From what I heard about the early screenings, the reaction was split almost 50/50. People thought it was somewhere between bad & OK. Not many extremely positive or extremely negative reactions. More of a meh sort of reaction if that makes sense.
The results were far more extreme when it was screened in front of people familiar with the property, still around a 50/50 situation, but they either really loved it or absolutely hated it.
So I guess all I can really say is that everyone likes different stuff, and opinions are so subjective, it's hard for me to give you an unbiased answer on the subject.
See it for yourself, you might really enjoy it.
Yup! Have talked with 4 people who saw it in a test screening back in December 2017 and all of then liked the movie a lot. The only problem they had with the movie was it wasn't scary and also called a indie comic book movie (wich I don't think is bad at all). From what i heard, test screening werent bad. They were pretty good, actually. Same level reaction of Deadpool. Not confirmed, of course, but according to some people i trust, the reason the movie was delayed is Kinberg. He is the one who wanted reshoots and didnt like the first cut. Take it with a grain of salt. I am not a leaker nor an insider.
