Looking forward to the IMAX release of this film!

Dude who cares if FOXMEN fans & lurkers get upset! Keep dropping scoops
Well it won't be seen as a scoop if it turns out to be false.
Yes you say FOXMEN fans get upset but it won't just be FOXMEN fans who get upset if they spent a while believing something that turned out to be false. no one likes to be told BS after all.
In his posts slugzilla clearly differentiated between stuff he'd seen and rumors he'd heard. Unless someone is clearly trolling to generate a reaction - and I don't believe he/she was - there's absolutely no reason to get upset about stuff posted on a superhero message board. This ain't the (Failing!) NYT. If you're coming here for the straight poop you're probably looking in the wrong place.
John Campea mentioned the anonymous poster on a chat board too and also says it is ridiculous

He's like the Scarlet Pimpernel. No one can find him, this mysterious poster on a message board.
Seriously. Why do none of these guys ever credit the source?
I believe you. You've been on this forum for 16 years, I see no reason for you to lie.
This guy was right about New Mutants
The show is not cancelled. Just fan speculation at this point.
seriously I gotta ask why is Disney infatuated with New Mutants of all movies. Do they have a fetish for it or something? Also what is the point of Disney representatives on set? Were they there just to say hi or were they telling Boone what to do? It's just baffling IMOI find the idea put forth by many so called pundits & the gentleman in this video, that Disney has had absolutely zero influence over the studio they will soon own, their soon to be employees and the decisions that they make, along with the assersion that everything was above board, completely honest and perfectly up to government standards to be quite laughable.
As I have said from the beginning, most everyone that I knew and spoke with on set were well aware of the fact that for all intents and purposes the Mouse would soon own the house, so to say.
While I may be somewhat of a newbie to this industry, even I, the lowly peon that I am, personally had conversations with nearly a half dozen "unofficial representatives" from Disney, during the last couple months of shooting. This was on set, at the freaking hospital, back in August & September, I believe, possibly as far back as July.
It was easy to tell who they were, they weren't even trying to hide the fact that they were from Disney, they were open about it. I could make an argument that at least one of them was flaunting about their affiliation with Disney lol.

Except there's one glaring problem here. From Slugzilla's last posting claiming "clarity", the post said Slugzilla specifically highlighted all movies except New Mutants as based on things heard or merely reporting rumors that were relayed to Slugzilla:In his posts slugzilla clearly differentiated between stuff he'd seen and rumors he'd heard.
Now that doesn't add up. Slugzilla toward the beginning of June stated:I would like to concede the fact that the rumors I heard and reported on from various individuals regarding Dark Phoenix, Externals, and Gambit may not be accurate.
If I recall correctly I believe I made it clear when posting these rumors that they were not coming directly from me, but that I was relaying information that I had been told. As I was simply told these things, it is certainly possible I may have been mislead regarding the films I had nothing to do with.
For whatever it is worth, if the information regarding the films aside from New Mutants does turn out to be false, I would like to apologize to everyone on these forums and those involved in the creation of those movies.
Now that's not based on something Slugzilla was "told" or rumors. So, which is it? Was Slugzilla's claim of watching the movie on a laptop truthful or not? How could Slugzilla claimYou're absolutely right about Dark Phoenix. What I saw was on a friend's laptop, and did not have completed cgi. But it was real bad IMHO.
Did he/she not personally watch the movie then? What? That also bring up a host of other questions. If Slugzilla claimed to have watched it on a "friend's laptop", who would have access to an entire cut of the movie on a laptop?I apologize for reporting these things that were not personally witnessed by me"
If they did otherwise, it would put the merger in jeopardy and Disney/Fox in serious legal trouble. I also wouldn't say "soon to be employees" since there will be thousands laid off as such is typical of a merger/acquisition. It's also extremely odd there's so much emphasis on controlling these specific Fox films and be virtually unconcerned about the state of any of the other films Fox will soon release in the near future also soon to be absorbed by Disney.I find the idea put forth by many so called pundits & the gentleman in this video, that Disney has had absolutely zero influence over the studio they will soon own, their soon to be employees and the decisions that they make, along with the assersion that everything was above board, completely honest and perfectly up to government standards to be quite laughable.
Except they aren't "Disney owned" yet. That's the point. This is referring to film rights. The merger isn't complete. Disney can have no say in how Fox handles ANY of their films (just like all the other previous x-men properties or non-Marvel characters/franchises/original films) until the merger is fully complete. Entering into merger/acquisitions establishes specific legal acts regarding the interactions of both businesses. Why would Disney reps showing up in set jeopardize the deal? What county, state of federal law were they in danger of violating? Regardless of any pending deals between Iger and the Murdochs, both New Mutants and Dark Phoenix are movies based on Disney owned characters. It may have raised eyebrows if Disney types were hanging around the set of The Predator. But not movies about Disney owned IP.

Disney can't call shots "early". That's not legally possible with mergers/acquisitions. If there is any hint of illegal action, that opens up a host of serious problems regardless of how supportive DOJ was at the start of the merger. They would be dealing with what was lawful or not.Marvel and Fox have had a working relationship since the 90s and Fox has been working with Disney for the past 8 years. This was not an arms length transaction. Both companies have been up in each other's business for some time. At times Disney/Marvel has had a lot of input in Fox licensed films and in others they havent. That's up to the discretion of both parties. Also the DOJ was extremely supportive of the deal and wouldn't have said boo if Disney started calling the shots early.
It does not affect this project in any way, shape or form is what I was told, says Bendis of the looming merger. At least at the moment, its certainly decisions over my pay-grade if it ends up doing so.
Fox has several other secret projects in development, including a Silver Surfer stand-alone feature that is being written by comics creator Brian K. Vaughn. We are going 100 miles per hour, says one executive involved
On the Fox lot, phrases like its business as usual reverberate in conversations with agents and execs. We actually have way more in development and production in Marvel IP than at any point in the history of the studio, says a Fox insider. Theres been zero slowdown on that front given Disney.
Let's play a game shall we?
Imagine you are an employee of a major company, and word circulates that an even bigger company is soon going to own the company you work for. You know there will be layoffs & you become aware of the fact that high ranking people in this company that will soon be taking over are particularly unhappy with one of your projects. Would you make a point of how this new company isn't in charge quite yet, flippantly ignoring their displeasure and push your project forward unchanged no matter the fact that it will probably cost you your job and livelihood, or would you try to do something to alter your project to appease them, hopefully keeping your job and getting in the good graces of the next boss? Be realistic, what would you do in that scenario?
Go on a forum under an anonymous name and tell people?
Joking aside, Disney are still walking a thin line even being there it seems.
But then id also point out that you have been arguing that Disney already owned them and were already planning stuff even before Comcast got involved with a higher bid and stopped everything in its tracks. and even then you argued Disney owned fox and were waiting to brag about it.
I would think realistically. 1st, the merger isn't a guarantee. It's the reason why they say "business as usual until then". There's still a lot to go in the coming months ahead. 2nd, should a project still be active when the merger is complete, it will be Disney's call on what to do with it then. Proper notice on it's status will be given at that point. It will not give you any more guarantee that your job is safe by acting as if altering your project in a certain way will appease incoming new managers, supervisors, bosses. Especially in this scenario. At the time that an acquisition is announced, there is typically a large amount of synergies between the two companies that will help offset the purchase cost. That means that the two companies will have a large number of people who will be doing the same job, and that half of those jobs will be redundant after the merger. Thus, layoffs. One person's advice:Let's play a game shall we?

"Everything you have done....Doesn't Matter. The fact that you are good at your current job is not a guarantee that your position is safe in the company going forward. Many corporations have a bad habit of boxing their employees into vary narrow roles. These employees become an expert in one thing, but have no opportunities to understand how the work they are doing will likely be irrelevant. After the merger dust settles: teams will be combined, managers will take on new roles, and job functions can shift dramatically. You need to make an effort to diversify yourself and learn some new skills as soon as possible. Ask lots of questions. Do your best to ignore the office rumor mill. Dont listen to the chatter and certainly dont contribute to it. The information in the gossip network is probably inaccurate; it will be highly emotional; and there will be lots of venting. Lastly, Reality Check: You Still Need to Prepare For the Worst."
When hasn't Disney been unhappy with something Fox does? Whatever Fox does currently before the merger closes next year...won't matter. Whether Fox release films in-between that period or not won't have anything to do with what Disney will set up later. That shouldn't be one's concerned in regard to job security. One's day-to-day responsibilities of their current job continue until the merger is done. Preparing to get involved into "integration" projects is what should be the focus, being willing and eager to branch into new roles and responsibilities. This is important because even if one remained employed after the merger, their job could be changed significantly, which equate adjustments. The acquiring company has a mandate to reduce the number of employees performing similar jobs, therefore those with the most knowledge and indemand skills often remain. You might like to look forward to the day when the dust settles and your work life returns to normal. Post-Merger & Acquisitions, thats not bound to happen. Thats because the tough nut to crack is integration of the cultures, systems and people. That could take years. During that process, every aspect of your job could continue to change. No, dont anticipate settling in.
