The Dark Knight New name for Dent (YES, NEW!)

The new name is Mark Wahlberg, no question about it.

"depart" and "good vibrations" are just way too obvious for it not to be him.

Edited already. I should had used the quote feature.:o

And to answer you, the hyperbolic nature of the hype. :woot:

PHO-ENIX DAMMIT!

Phoenix makes more sense because I remember Jett saying before how he wasn't keen on him for Dent, even though he was a good actor.

Jett isn't really one for dropping hints so I don't think the 'depart' stuff should be read into much.

Oh contraire, it was obviously a hint.

It would be one thing if the Jettster just said he was going to depart, but to say that and then immediately go on to use the phrase "good vibrations", which isn't exactly your normal, everyday phrase people use..well that puts it over the top IMO. I think it was obviously a reference to Wahlberg.

Miranda did you get my PM ? and where's your sig and avvy ?:csad:

could it be possible that this "new" name is an unknown?

I'm really bored of this. I wish they would just cast someone. Plenty of people would perform the role quite adaquetly. The long months and years of fruitless speculation can dampen the enthusiasm of even the most zealous Batfan.

Out of everyone named so far I'm kind of downbeat about Wahlberg, he's a competent actor and was great in The Departed, but he's pretty bland most of the time. OK but not a resounding YES!

Man o man I hope it's Whalberg. Who btw was not in NOKTB that was his brother (people were saying that in the Dent thread)

Anyway wasn't it fun when we were throwing suggestions everywhere and it wasn't boring yet?

Did anyone suggest this guy?

Burns!

He'd give a new meaning to the phrase "BURN BABY BURN!!".

I think he was, but he dropped out just before the group became famous.

On a sidenote. ;)

Jett is ridiculous, he's saying there may or may not be a new candidate out there which he won't name, so if someone who hasn't been previously mentioned does get cast he can say I told you so. What a joke

What I was thinking exactly.

I give Jett no credit.

I thought Walhberg got an offer for the Departed sequel altogether with Robert DeNiro.

How is dicaprio, the biggest actor in Hollywood, ever going to be cast as a supporting actor in a comic book movie? $25 million says it cannot happen.

Don't know why people still mention him

Absolutey. DiCaprio will not happen.

Wahlberg and Eckhart are both excellent choices.

Either one would deliver a great Harvey Dent. We're in excellent hands.

I agree. But is that who it's coming down to? Any available tidbits Gil?
