The Amazing Spider-Man New shortlist members

Are you saying that Aaron is wrong for Spider-Man, Majik, or that Aaron is just not good for anyone?

I think Aaron would make a great Spider-Man but, I personally think he would make an even better Cyclops.

Lol relax, I was just asking. The last 2 years has had a lot of us watch how we spend. If one can still enjoy what they love at a minimal cost or in your case, no cost, more power to you. :woot:

Oh okay, I meant no disrespect, I thought you were trying to bash me. My apologies :woot:

Aaron for beating down Majik:cmad:
Bring it on! :cmad:

Honestly, it's not that he's not good for anyone, I just don't want him part of this franchise after Kick Ass. He was decent in it, but he didn't do anything so amazing or anything that another actor, who are better fits for Peter, couldn't do.
Plus, while unrelated to his talent, the whole deal of him being engaged and impregnating a 43 year old woman kinda takes me out of the movie.:csad:

Eh not a fan of him as Cyclops either, but I don't really want to know of anything X-Men: First Class related. I mean the James McAvoy casting snuck it's way into my headlines, and everything that's going on in that movie is just depressing to me. :csad:

You have to have a sense of humor about these things, lol.

Anyway. Johnson to me is Kick-Ass,and thats enough,IMO. I wouldn't mind if he was Cyclops however.

I think Anton Yelchin is THE best candidate for Spidey. Im watching Charlie Bartlett again, its awesome.

If anybody wants an actor for Harry, how about this guy?

WHy would Bryan Singer, Matthew Vaughn, and Jane Goldman be depressing? It's like.. the first time since X2 when a X-film actually has promise.

He's got the look, I don't think I've seen him in anything though.

Cuz it's still in Fox's hands.

And it is a year from release and they don't even have a full cast:(

LoL I cannot believe they have yet to cast such a major role. Ah well - it's fun to talk about the possibilities in the meantime.

I like Anton Yelchin for the part. He was great in Star Trek. Very likable and had a solid presence. I have to check some of the other flicks you guys mentioned.

Would Yelchin even work? Star Trek's sequel is supposed to be out in 2012 as well, so would Yelchin be busy with filming that movie instead?

Who's Short List is this?

As I doubt anyone of these people are on Sony's short list. They have a knack for casting outside the realm of fanboyism.

Im concerned about that. He has a lot of upcoming things. But I dont think Sony would include him if there was any scheduling conflicts that prevented him from getting the part. He might have less time on Star Trek.

Both Sony and Fox have included Michael Fassbender though, and there's a scheduling conflict there(in a way). And also, we've been told no one has even auditioned yet, so Sony is just saying names to get us excited. I don't think Yelchin will be Spidey anyways, just because, honestly, I think a smart man would choose Star Trek over Spider-Man anyways. There is a HUGE chance the reboot could be a big failure, and there is a HUGE chance that the next Star Trek film could be as amazing as The Wrath of Khan.

When did Sony include Michael Fassbender, you gotta link to that? It's all just more casting rumors, nothing more...that goes for Yelchin, as well.

:whatever:

I'm referring to Sony offering Fassbender the role for the villain in the reboot as well as Fox offering Fassbender the role of Magneto in its X-Men prequel/reboot/whatever it is (X-Men: First Class).

Yeah, but did they actually offer him a role or is this a rumor?

He’s being pursued, I hear, for two different Marvel comics movies.
He heard from whom?

That's considered a rumor. I thought Sony, the actor himself, a producer or at least Variety.com said it.
