Super Mario New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Agreed, I'm hoping it will be a cheaper game, as obviously they didnt need to spend near the same amount of time on graphics.

I really wish it would be online multiplayer, I'll get stuck inviting all my friends over all the time, and they eat a lot of food.
That's why I love Xbox live. You get all the fun of gaming with friends and none of the cleanup!

I'm waiting on this game as the only anticipated Wii game of the year, for myself.

I'll honestly probably play through on my own without a second player first time around, as I would consider this a direct sequel to the NES and SNES 2D scrollers.

The return of the Koopalings is probably what I'm most excited for.

New scans. Bowser Jr is definitely in with his seven siblings. This has to be the first time that even the original seven have all been in a room together much less with Bowser Jr.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing all the kids together...in fact, seeing Bowser Jr in the clown copter puts a wierd smile on my face. :p

it's weird seeing all of them together...they're from different eras.

I'm excited by the Koopalings but it's countered by my massive disappointment that we're playing with two generic Toads instead of the Traditional Toad and Toadette.

Yeah, I don't know what they were thinking with the two toads. The excuse that they didn't want to spend time programing new things for the characters and basically wanted pallet swaps doesn't really fly with me. If they had thrown Peach and Toad in it would have been an awesome throwback to SMB2.

But, I am probably never going to play 4 player, so Mario and Luigi are all I need. Either way I don't think it's that big of a deal. Once your in and jumping on each other's heads to get more coins and fighting to beat the level first, you probably won't notice the two toned Toads.

It stopped bothering me a while back.

Four player is what I'm really excited for, as I already have a group of buddies primed and ready for awesome Mario action.

I hope Best Buy and Gamestop has this up on the kiosk next week. I wanna check it out before I pick it up.

I have a rule that basically says that I must buy any Mario game that comes out that isn't a Mario Party game. I'm getting this today.

I havent played through a complete original Mario game since Super Mario Bros on the SNES back in like 1991

Go and get this game then and beat it. Then get all the other Mario games :cmad:

I can't believe I wasn't subscribed to this thread.

I unfortunately won't, or at least shouldn't, be able to play it since I have a ton of work coming up.

I dont have a Wii. SNES was the last Nintendo console I owned with the exception of the Gameboy Color. I mean Ive played many of the Mario games, but never got quite far in them

I can sorta relate. Prior to the game saves introduced in Mario World, I never got far in a Mario game. Marios 1-3 were impossible to beat unless you knew where all of the secret pipes, whistles, and potions were that allowed you to skip levels. Even Mario World was like that.

I didn't really get going in the Mario games until Mario 64, when collecting enough stars allowed you to jump to whichever level you wanted, and skip all the places you hated.

Yeah. I beat SMW on the GBA and you can save whenever. I didn't like SMB3 b/c you couldn't save until you beat it a castle. I had to play it on a ROM to beat it.

I completely owned Mario World. I have like 700 lives and I didn't go back and forth to the Secret Area.

I beat those games before I was in first grade without the need of that stuff :o

Anyways, I literally just got back from buying the game and the very first thing I do is try to turn on my Wii so I can play it. Dead batteries :(
