I dont know if this was stated in Premiere mag but Raimi basically said Gwen Stacey's role in this film is not huge basically introductory and she will be a bigger part in more movies and aside from other interviews Raimi knows there will be a Spider-Man 4 and he would love to do it.

No seriously...i pretty much KNEW Gwen's part wasn't going to be huge...that's why they said she would survive this film when Bryce was cast so she could return and have a bigger part in SM4.

why kill her off or have her dump peter?, it is most likley that they will get married in spidey3 and i think she should reamain in the series, i think gwen should remain in the series too, atleast until spiderman5 if there is even one.

I say Venom needs to kill her. Harry won't do it, as it would be out of character. Sandman has no reason to. Venom must do it. I doubt they'll go as dark as having Spidey accidentally do it. That would be my reasoning for wanting V-Man to do the deed.

BTW I just read the Premiere Magazine Article and says he'd love to come back with Tobey and Kirsten. He doesn't "know" (but the word is really think) if Topher or Thomas would be back but he'd love it if Tobey and Kirsten were. He then said Bryce WOULD PROBABLY be back.

Which means to me that he knows MJ and Pete are still together but Gwen can return. He also flat out said he cannot imagine doing a Spidey movie without Tobey Maguire though.

there is no way venom will kill mj. one of the reasons is because she is holding harrys hand crying and looking at peter at the end of the final battle.

There's been no rumor about Venom biting Sandman other than fans bringing that ridiculous moment up from the comics. The rumormill mentioned that Harry takes Sandman down with a bomb.

Just read this interview for myself. He basically said:

-Gwen has a minor role in the movie. A little interaction with Peter, MJ, Brock, and Spidey. It's really just her intro into the movies. Nothing more.

-He said Sandman is not a straight out villain. He's a conflicted character. He just wants whats best for his family. Just a man struggling to get what he needs, and in doing that he breaks the law. He also says Sandman is wracked with guilt and pain.

-He said he still doesn't have a full understanding of the Venom character. Maybe when the movie is complete, he will.

-Sony is planning to make more Spider-Man movies after SM-3.
