The new uniforms look a lof better drawn by Finch. Thanks for the cover!

you know..as much as i don't care for X-23 i hope she beats the pink lining out of Deathstrike

Now THAT is a cool Finch cover. He reminds me alot of Silvestri.

Issue #42 was pretty good but the art felt really rushed

The concept with Santo is really good, a lot more original than just having him being Thing-lite and I loved the part with Pixie, Logan and the unicorns lol. But I just hope the writers are not killing Dust with Predator X, she's one of the best New X-Men IMO.

Wow, i just read # 42 and the endangered species story was heartbreaking. I just loved it.

Anole does in a way come out in this issue. Santo calls hima sissy and the next page Anole has thrown him out a window and Santo is screaming " I didnt know, dont be so sensitive". Mercery is trynig to find out who is the youngest mutant on thisplanet, and therefor the next targt. At the same time the purifiers have found away to controll the Predator X. Joss spends the whole issue sitting on the floor thinking about life and death. Others try to find a way to know more about their powers.

But I wont spoil what happends in the Endagered Species story ;)

Aww. Spoil Endangered Species. I don't read New X-Men, so I keep missing its chapters.

Actually, I'm not sure if Anole's been out-out. It was heavily implied that he's gay, but I don't think the character himself ever came out and said it to anybody. Not that anybody was surprised when he did.

Like Lance Bass.

I think Anole has only been revealed to be gay by N&C in interviews. To the best of my knowledge, I dont believe its been shown on panel

From what I remember,
the two Beasts went to the Guthrie home to ask to take some genetic samples from Lucinda to see if she could somehow hold a carrier for future mutants, but she flatly refuses. Saying that every time one of her kids got a power, it was like sending them off to a war that never ended, and she doesn't want to do that to her kids again. While Beast is trying to convice her, Dark Beast catches the youngest son, Lewis, out in the backyard practicing for when his own powers emerge. McCoy tells him that won't happen anymore, but produces a vial that might give him powers, to which Lewis happily volunteers to take. When Beast finally tells Lucinda that they don't have to use the cure on her kids if they find it, the youngest daughter runs in saying that Lewis is sick, and they run outside to find McCoy carrying the boy, all purple and covered in blisters and possibly dead, saying that he said there would be sacrifices and wonders if they should try one of the girls next.

Ha! Figures he'd go to her for "building blocks" DNA. She's not really the only choice, though...

The Beasts could gone to any of the X-Men's living parents. Bobby's parents are still alive. Kitty's mom. Neal Shaara's parents. Not to mention all of the students whose parents have to be on file.

Well, the main reason they said they went to her is
because it's such an anomaly for her to have produced so many mutants. Most people are lucky to have one or two, but she had five, so Beast thought she might have some kind of latent gene in her that can activate mutantions and maybe reactive ones that were lost.

Just read 42(damn, almost 4 years already?) Very informative issue:

- Poor Nehzno, sweet ass Vibranium tatooes though!

- Wonder if Pixie's teleportation will ever be used...ever.

- Anole should totally turn into a full out "awesome dragon guy" or go back to being cute and tiny.

- Elixir(or should I say Socrates) needs to sort his **** out.

- Sooo glad they're addressing the fact that the adults have been the WORST mentors/teachers to these kids :up:

- Colossus not even blinking while Santo blew up was pretty cool

- "$#%^ing unicorns"! Hahahaha

- Nori, wtf? Wonder what X-23 senses.

nehzno is awesome...cant wait to see his death...even if his powers are redundant and several other people have them...the dying part is cool

Not familiar with this Greystone character

he was part of the X.U.E. that took over the title shortly before its cancellation. Mystique, Sabretooth and Wildchild had all left. Leaving only Shard, Havok and Polaris. They were Fixx, Archer and Greystone and were a renegade unit of the X.S.E. from the same future as Bishop and Shard. Shard was their leader and Fixx, having a mental link to every member had been searching for Shard ever since she 'died' and went to the past. and once Shard became a physical being again (ie: NOT a hologram but a photonic being) Fixx was able to lock onto her signature and pulled her, greystone and Archer's essences into the past/present. Where they took over the bodies of three recent corpses. it was a really interesting storyline but didnt last long as the book was shortly cancelled to make way for Mutant X

Really? You liked that storyline? Frankly when Mystique left and these XUEs came on I was ready to be done with the book.

At first...no...but the XUE characters really started to be interesting, especially Shard, Fixx and Greystone...not soo much Archer, he was like a mutant clone of Hawkeye with Mysterio's mask...I was warmed up to them...right around the time the book was canceled

So I read the issue... the art was really crappy. I was shocked and disappointed. It was so good in the 5 issues before but... oh well.

I'm thinking about picking up all the back issues and adding this book to my pull. Is it worth it?
