Captain Marvel? Billy Batson isn't even born yet.

True, but then you had Bart Allen as the flash last season, when in the DC continuity, he didn't even exist during Clark's younger years.

although i said martian manhunter and batman before, i would also like to see captain marvel and how they would play the whole 'even bigger boyscout than superman' thing.

maybe have someone else saving the day before clark can get there??

Legion it would be like that ep of S:tas New Kids in town.

No to Captain Marvel, unless he's in costume...It would be stupid to have Billy Batson shout "Shazam", and turn into a adult with super powers sans costume....

what about Jet Li, Jackie Chan, or Tony jaa(Ong Bak the thai warriror)..or what about Ramin Sohrab(www.raminsohrab.com)..we need some asian fighters with kryptonite, that challenges clark to a duel..if clark lose's...so does his mom...if he wins then something else happenes you know..any opionins

Asians on Smallville always get killed. Its pointless.

Would they make Martian Manhunter someone Clark's age or someone older?

Id actually love to see a young Bruce Wayne, during his traveling and training around the world. Stopping off in Smallville, he could clash with Lex because he is also incredibly rich and powerful, and while Lex is out going he is really a snake in the grass on the other hand Bruce acts gruff and distant like he doesnt like anyone he is actually a kind hearted person.
He could also be very trained, but there wouldnt have to be any mention of Batman.
At first, because of their different personalities and because of Bruce's vigilantee tendancies, Clark and Bruce don't get along. Bruce however does put together, on his own, that Clark isn't human. At the end of the story, while still not really likeing each other, they both realise that they are a good team and that they are both needed.

Id also love to see GL, Hal Jordan, in his flight jacket. He is an intergalactic cop. Under cover on a mission to Earth to find an alien who crashed there. He keeps the use of his ring to a mimimum and nothing flashy. He is older than Clark, maybe his father's age. He could be very similar to Jonathan Kent, in some ways but not many. He acts sort of like a father figure or a mentor, and teaches Clark about being a hero, he could also teach Clark about space, aliens, Krypton, and how the world isnt ready to about aliens yet but they do need a hero like Clark. It happens naturally, without either making it happen.

Maybe the alien he is looking for can be one of the alien villians from the comics, like a White martian who is constantly shapeshifting so we rarely see its true form.

Or what about Diana Troy, a young Greek girl who transfers to Clark's college. She dresses like a normal college girl would, except for her two shiny metal wrist bands. Clark could be sort of attracted to her, and then later he finds out that she isnt normal either when she fends off bullets with her wrist bands and throws a truck at a bad guy. She also is handy with a laso.
Diana is more aggressive than he is in combat, and more trained. Diana was brought up to belive that all men are evil. But she learns from Clark that it doesnt matter if you are a man or a woman, some people are good and some people arent. During the coarse of the show Diana and Clark get closer, but once Diana has completed her task, maybe saving a kidnapped Amazonian, she must go home.

I don't think diana should be young, isn't she like 3 billion years old or something, she should forever be an adult on screen

perhaps a lecturer or fitness coach at a gym or septhalon olympic athlethe

Alan Scot in Metropolis in costume or any other Golden Age hero in costume

SV doesnt seem to want to show the actual future superheroes in costume... just them in civilian gear

I really dont see Alan Scott showing up in full Green Lantern gear.

They might as well have beast boy show up as a punk kid with green hair. :o

Cyborg...slightly dissapointed to say the least.

Lets see Bart return

I didnt mean for the future supers to show up in gear. I ment for the older heros in gear. Like Jay Garrick, Alan Scott, etc. I agree that SV probably wouldnt do it but those heros should be around. In any case they would have been better than AoV.

Anything would be better than AoV but dont say these heroes SHOULD be around. This is Smallville,...everythings different.

Well never know if Bruce Wayne even exists in this universe, let alone the JSA. Bart Allen (who shouldnt even be born yet) as the Flash...Cyborg showing up a decade before Clark is Superman etc

I think most of these characters wont appear on the show because of copyright and ownership laws. but anyway.

Blue Beetle might be an interesting one, Edward "Ted" Kord could be a man who comes into town who seems like an average guy. He is in his 30s, average build, brown hair, and wears all blue and black. maybe even has yellow shades. He isnt all serious, he cracks jokes now and then, and seems easy going. At the same time a new exhibit comes to the museum featuring a scarab gem. Ted has to protect it from getting into the wrong hands, it belonged to a friend (like the regular back story) and it was lost for years. Ted tracked it down, but so has an evil group who wants to use it.

or maybe he has to take it. He has been tracking down the gem ever since his friend Dan Garret was killed protecting it. Dan used the gem to become stronger, faster, and more powerful to stop evil as the Blue Beetle. Ted promissed his friend before he died that he would become the next Blue Beetle, but the gem was lost, and then stolen. he explains all this to Clark.
At the same time a group calling themselves the Madmen comes looking for the Gem too.
And during this story, Lex is buying the Scarab Gem. thats why its in Smallville or metropolis. He is transfering it to a vault in his home very shortley. Until then it sits in the museum.
It is revealed that while Ted has no super powers, he is an expert in hand to hand combat and also has a few wacky gadgets. He and Clark team up and fight tooth and nail to keep the gem out of the wrong hands.

Perhaps in the end, after a skirmish where several people including Clark almost have the gem, it lands in Ted's hands. In a blinding light Ted is given the powers of the scarab gem and becomes the new Blue Beetle. Using his new powers he sends the Madmen running for their lives. He and Clark part ways after shaking each others hand.
maybe Ted never becomes super powered, he and Clark do fend off the Madmen however. Clark tells Ted, in some subtle way, that he is the Blue Beetle whether he has power or not and that the Gem is still out there in need of protection. And it may need it more now, since Lex has it.
The whole things ends with the Scarab Gem being locked away in one of Lex' many vaults. Across the street, or a few buildings away is Ted, looking through binoculars and standing ready to protect the gem.

then again
it could be Dan Garret, while Id prefer it was Ted, it could be interesting to see a man come to town with incredible powers. He wears all blue and some red. He is super strong, fast, bullet proof, and magical. Its all because of the Scarab Gem, he has been on the run most of his life protecting it from getting to the wrong hands. This time a group called the madmen are after him.
its sort of like an Indeana Jones story, high adventure.
He runs into Clark, but he claims its not by accident. The Gem must have guided him there. he needs Clark's help, he could mention the other cities he has been in like Gothem and Coast City.
At the same time Lex meets with the Madmen, who he doesnt know is a terrorist group. He makes a deal with them to get the gem, for his collection.
Clark, hesitant at first, helps the Dan "Blue Beetle" Garret. But something goes wrong and the gem is stolen during the fighting. Dan becomes human again, but with Clark's help he keeps going and gets back the gem.
At the end he has to leave, he has endagnered Smallville enough. He must move on, its his curse. Clark mentions that maybe theyll meet again some day, Dan tells him you will see the Blue Beetle again in one form or another.

Martian Manhunter I could actually see being on the show at some point.
He could be disguised as a cop and need Clark's help to hide. As the cop I think he should be played by Carl Lumbly. Maybe he is on the run from scientists who want to examin him and his powers because he is an alien, Clark thinks about this happening to him and how horrible it must have been for Jonn and agrees.
Jonn Jonnz, or however you spell it, is never reffered to as Martian manhunter. The humans looking for him do call him Martian though.
In his alien form he has red eyes, and green skin, and has a very alien body shape. But this form is rarely seen and is only seen in the dark with many shadows covering him.
He shapeshifts on the show, looking like the cop one second and someone else when Clark looks away for a second. He and Clark communicate with mental telepathy, and he reads other's minds including Lex. He is also super fast and super strong, just like Clark. But he seems to have mastered flying, which he only does a few times.
He tries to teach Clark to master his powers, and discover new ones he didnt know he had. They share stories about their past, and discover they are both the last sons of their planets, only Jonn was on his planet when everyone died. Jonn tries to be like a mentor to Clark.
We also see that he is weak to fire, like Clark is weak to Kryptonite. Fire is what the humans who are after him use.
Clark must help Jonn but be sure not to get captured himself, which maybe happens. Then Jonn has to go and save him. But Id hate for this to start a huge thing with the government after Clark.

In the end he must go, before they find him again and this time come after him and Clark. They part ways in Metropolis, on a crowded street. He shape shifts into an unknown form and dissapears into the crowd, but as he walks away he tells Clark telepathically that he will come back some day.
and maybe he can, he could return a few times to mentor Clark in his powers and be a friend Clark can confide in about his secrets.
